🚨 Flooding & Your Horses – What to Remember! 🚨

Hey horsey family, we know that dealing with flooding is tough, and looking after our horses in these conditions can be challenging. Here are some key things to keep in mind:

✅ Get your horses to higher ground – Safety first!
✅ Fresh water & plenty of roughage – Hydration and forage are essential.
✅ Keep them dry – If possible, provide dry rugs or towel-dry them after the rain.
✅ Check for injuries – Swelling, cuts, abrasions, or lethargy can indicate a problem.
✅ First aid – Wrap swollen legs, clean wounds, and apply iodine if available until your vet can assess.
✅ Shelter – Try to keep them out of extreme weather conditions.
✅ Take care of yourself too! – Stay warm, stay dry, eat well, and keep hydrated. You can’t care for your horses if you’re unwell!

Stay safe, and if you need help or advice, reach out to the community – we’re all in this together! 💙🐴

We highly recommend Dr. Jon and his team - we’ve been using them for years and absolutely fantastic - takes the best care of our horses that’s for sure!

‼️We are now offering Emergency After-Hours Ambulatory and Clinic Services 🚑

An emergency after-hours situation is one of the most stressful scenarios a horse owner can face. Being prepared can help ensure your equine friend receives the necessary care as soon as possible.

What You Can Do as a Horse Owner:

🔹 Know Your Vet’s After-Hours Policy: Understand your regular veterinarian’s after-hours policy. If they do not offer after-hours services, find out who in the area does and keep their contact information readily available.

🔹 Transport Options: Ensure you have access to a mode of transport for your horse if it needs to be taken to an after-hours clinic.

🔹 Register with Advance Equine Vets: To alleviate stress during emergencies, register you and your horse’s details with us in advance for prompt assistance.

🔹 Hendra Vaccinate Your Horse: We strongly recommend that all horses are up-to-date with Hendra vaccinations to ensure prompt after-hours care. Non-vaccinated horses will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, with PPE precautions and additional fees applied.

🔴 AFTER-HOURS FEES 🔴

🔷 Regular Client Discounts: As a regular client, you will receive priority for after-hours care and a discounted fee. To qualify as a regular client, you must use us as your primary veterinarians, including for yearly vaccinations and routine care.

🔹 Non-Client Services: We are also available to assist with after-hours needs for non-clients.

After hours appointments will be billed with a travel cost, an examination and an after hours fee that varies depending on the level.

Levels are as follows:
- Level 1 After-Hours:
6 AM – 8 AM & 5 PM – 10 PM
- Level 2 After-Hours:
10 PM – 6 AM
- Level 3 After-Hours: Public Holidays

- Regular Client After-Hours Costs start from $220

- Non-Client After-Hours Costs start from $350.

🔹 Payment: All after-hours services must be paid at the time of service via cash, credit card, Vetpay, or Afterpay. We highly recommend pre-registering with one of the Afterpay options.

Please contact us for more information or to register for after-hours care. 📞 5588 5152

This was one of those moments where I just realised how lucky I am to be a coach, because it’s not just about trying to perfect technique, it’s about encouraging your clients to see their potential, their abilities even when they doubt themselves and want to give up, to create a safe and sustainable mindset and riding environment.
It’s about being 100% there for them and encouraging them to try, to remember why they started riding, to remember that this isn’t about ribbons - it’s about the love you have for horses, that innocents and vulnerability we all have when it’s just us and our horse, embracing and empowering ourselves and one another and not tearing each other down, not tearing ourselves down.
I met Samara when she came off this big bay at TEG, it was a pretty nasty freak accident, and I had no idea who she was but all I could do in that moment is just sit with her and be there for her. She had surgery, she recovered, she messaged me and we began training together with her other horse Kenny and on Friday, she got back on Aero. Originally, we were just doing groundwork and practicing mounting and dismounting, we removed all of our expectations, and just took it slow.
As Samara got more comfortable and confident we began walking and trotting, cantering and even a few jumps.
We removed all pressure, all stress, all expectations and we just took it as it came and my GOD! I am so proud of the maturity she showed and the growth in just a few lessons with Kenny and now Aero!
Sometimes we all need to remember it isn’t a race, and if we are too focused on the finishing line and getting there too quickly, we miss the whole journey 💞
I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you Samara!

I don’t even know where to start at 16 years old you are already starting your showjumping journey competing overseas, which is by no means an easy feat! have done an incredible job of opening up an international competition world to you and you have exceeded any and all expectations.
🌟 Immy was once told that she would never have the horse or ability to train up heights from a previous coach - it seems to me that maybe it was just out of the coaches wheelhouse to be able to coach, refine and encourage her potential.
When I came along, I saw a determined, motivated, talented and conscientious rider who loved the sport. Her natural ability and natural seat, soft hands and willingness to learn had her moving up the heights consistently, she worked so hard that she now has been riding overseas and competing at an international competition winning best foreign rider in her 1.20 classes. She’s forged friendships she will keep a lifetime and learnt so much and adapted it to her horses at home.
This 16 year old is going to take the world by storm and sets an example to other riders of all ages about compassion, understanding, shortcomings, and no matter the outcome, always learn and it’s never the horses fault.
Immy has to work hard for her horses, nothing is handed to her and she is constantly furthering her education and understanding.
I am beyond proud of you Immy and so excited to see what another 12 months does! 🌟
only fitting her out in the best for her first international competitions!

FINALLY the go fund me is up and working!!!!

🌟✨ EXCITING NEWS FROM THE STABLES! ✨🌟

As Imogen "Immy" Box's proud coach, I have the immense pleasure to announce that she has been chosen to represent not just our local equestrian community but also our nation on the Global Amateur Tour in none other than the spirited country of Argentina!

🏇 From her first pony ride at 4 years old to mastering jumps with her talented partner, Porsha, Imogen has shown unwavering dedication, passion, and a work ethic that inspires us all. It's through grit and grace that she's soared through the ranks, and now, she's leaping onto the international stage at the prestigious Sol De Maio CSI 2* event!

We are head-over-heels thrilled and bursting with pride to watch Immy chase her ultimate dream – to one day represent Australia in the Olympics. 🇦🇺

However, dreams of this magnitude don't gallop toward us without cost. International competition requires significant funding, and this is an opportunity not just for Imogen but for all of us to be part of her journey.

Let's rally behind Imogen and help her clear every hurdle on the way to Argentina.

➡️ We are seeking donations to cover competition costs, travel expenses, flights as they prep for the spotlight. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference and brings Immy one step closer to her Olympic aspirations. 🤗

Please consider donating to her GoFundMe campaign https://gofund.me/b78043c7
and share this post far and wide. Showjumping may be an individual sport, but it takes a community's strength to lift a rider to new heights.

🔗 Share, donate, support. Let's make this a leap we take together!

With heartfelt thanks and boundless hope,
Nicole
