💦🐾 SPLISH, SPLASH… IT’S ENRICHMENT TIME! 🐾💦

🐩Our gorgeous Royal Litter has been busy exploring another fun enrichment activity today!

🤗This time, we introduced a sensory water play mat, filled with colourful floating sea creatures that move around as the puppies press, paw and investigate.🐟🐾

While it might look like simple puppy play, there’s so much learning happening! 🧠✨

💦 Sensory development – Experiencing new textures, movement and the sensation of water beneath their paws.

🐾 Confidence building – Encouraging the puppies to investigate unfamiliar objects and surfaces at their own pace.

🧠 Problem-solving – Discovering how their movements cause the colourful objects inside the mat to move.

👀 Curiosity and exploration – Encouraging natural inquisitiveness and positive experiences with something new.

😊 Positive social experiences – Exploring alongside their littermates in a safe, familiar environment. 💦🐠

🌟At GC Mini Poodles, enrichment is an important part of our daily puppy curriculum. We carefully introduce age-appropriate activities that help our puppies develop confidence, resilience and adaptability as they prepare for life with their forever families.🙌🏡

And judging by those adorable little faces, today’s activity was a hit! 🥰

It’s never just play… it’s learning through play! 🐶👏⭐️

👑🐩 A Little Balcony Adventure for Our Royal Litter! 🌧️☔️

The Gold Coast has certainly been getting a soaking lately! 💦

With approximately 99mm of rain recorded at the Gold Coast Seaway over the past 8 daily readings, and more wet weather and thunderstorms forecast for the coming days, our beautiful Royal litter are making the most of their undercover adventures! 🐶🤗

With a 95% chance of rain forecast for Sunday, it looks like our outdoor playtime might be a little limited for now! 🌧️

But that certainly doesn’t mean the learning and adventures stop! 🐾❤️

Today, our gorgeous medium Poodle puppies have been enjoying some time up on the balcony, taking in all the wonderful sights, sounds and smells of our acreage from the comfort of a warm, dry and sheltered space.🏡

From listening to the rain falling and the birds singing, to watching the trees sway in the breeze and observing everything happening around them, it’s all part of their ongoing socialisation and enrichment journey. 🌿🐦

These everyday experiences help our puppies build confidence, curiosity and resilience as they continue discovering the world around them.🌍

And judging by how relaxed and content they are, we think our little Royals are quite enjoying their balcony views! 👑❤️

Rain, hail or shine, the learning never stops at GC Mini Poodles! 🐩💕

🐾👑 Good morning from our Royal Litter! 👑🐾

Could they get any cuter?! 🥹❤️

🌦️It’s a cold, wet morning here on the Gold Coast, and our 8️⃣ little royals have the right idea… all snuggled up together, keeping warm and cosy! 🐩💕

🥰A bed full of fluffy cuddles, sleepy faces and pure puppy perfection!♥️🐾

Is there anything sweeter than a puppy cuddle puddle? 🥹🐾

🐾💖 Look at that concentration and focus! 💖🐾

🐶Our beautiful Pippin has been busy practising her focus during her training at Nicole Bignell - Dog Training & Handling / Puppy Development , and just look at her go! 👏🐾

🥹We could not be prouder of this gorgeous girl! Watching one of our GC Mini Poodles develop her skills and confidence.

🌟The “Watch and Stay” exercise is an important part of therapy dog training because it teaches dogs to focus on their handler, remain calm and resist distractions.

🤔Why is this so important for a therapy dog? 🐾

* 👀 Focus and attention: “Watch” teaches the dog to make eye contact with their handler and look to them for guidance.

* 🐩 Impulse control: “Stay” teaches the dog to remain in position rather than immediately reacting to something exciting.

* 💕 Calmness and patience: Therapy dogs need to remain relaxed, even in busy or unpredictable environments.

* 🧠 Confidence and trust: These exercises strengthen communication and build a trusting relationship between the dog and handler.

* 🏥 Preparation for therapy visits: In hospitals, aged-care facilities and schools, therapy dogs may encounter wheelchairs, unfamiliar noises, sudden movements and people wanting their attention.

✔️The combination of Watch and Stay helps a dog learn to remain attentive, patient and responsive to their handler, even when distractions are present.

🐩For Pippin, this training is helping develop the skills she’ll need to become a reliable, calm and confident dog.

🙌It’s also wonderful to see the calm temperament and early foundations developed at GC Mini Poodles being built upon through her professional training.

👑🐩 FIVE WEEKS OF ROYAL CUTENESS! 🐩👑

Our beautiful Royal Litter are officially FIVE weeks old, and we couldn’t be more in love with these eight little treasures! 💛

Their individual personalities are really starting to shine through, and each one has the most beautiful, calm and affectionate temperament. 🥹❤️

Today our little royals were treated to a pamper session! 🛁✨ They were weighed, had their nails clipped, and enjoyed a bath and brush. Every single puppy took it all in their stride, remaining completely relaxed throughout. We are so proud of them! 🙌

Behind the scenes, our puppies continue to enjoy daily handling, with their exposure items, enrichment activities and new experiences rotated each day to help build confidence and resilience. 🐾

We honestly couldn’t be happier with how beautifully these puppies are developing! Their calm, trusting natures are such a joy to see.🐶✨

And the excitement is building… it won’t be long now until our little royals meet their forever families for the very first time! 🏡❤️

For now, enjoy your weekly dose of Royal Puppy Therapy! 👑🐩
