Nothing beats flying clay ribbons and a classic 90s mix on the patio.

Crafted from Clayworks Granite clay and coated in a white slip, this hand-thrown vessel features a striking, raw textured exterior achieved through an intentional crackling process. The piece was thrown in three distinct sections and meticulously joined. The surface was deliberately encouraged to crack and break apart, creating an irregular, deeply textured finish with a pattern reminiscent of dried, sun-baked earth.

Two little crackled pots catching the ocean breeze.

I used black Indian ink to highlight the glaze lines and make that crackle pattern really pop. Just a super relaxed, beachy vibe for the grid today.

Collaborating with the master. 🍯

I had the absolute privilege of working on this piece with my mentor, Bill Powell. I threw the ceramic form, and Bill brought it to life by applying one of his beautiful, signature glaze styles.

There is nothing quite like learning from someone who inspires you every day, and seeing our individual styles merge into a single piece is incredibly rewarding.

Let me know what you think of the final result in the comments!
