REMINDER FOR OUR DOGS IN HOT WEATHER!!! 🥵☀️

Are you mindful of your pup in the heat?

We’ve had some pretty hot days recently so please make sure to think about the following:

- Take your pup out early/late in the day

- Pavement check! if you can’t stand bare foot, neither can they! I’ve seen too many dogs with seared paw pads.

- DO NOT give water to a panting dog, this is super dangerous and can kill your dog. Put water on their groin area and wait until they’ve cooled before offering water.

- Train indoors, look up a YouTube video if you have to.. there are thousands of things you can do with your dog that isn’t a walk around the neighbourhood.

- Leave them at home!! They don’t need to come to a crowded hot market with you, or sit in direct sunlight at the beach (especially tying your dog to a pole while you go swim, this is dangerous for several reasons).

- Watch for signs of heat stroke.. Excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and in more obvious cases collapse.

- If your dog is pulling more or darting for the shade, GO!!!!!!

Hello folks 🙂

My name is Mack, and I run MACK’S PACK DOG TRAINING!

I wanted to make a post to introduce myself and my services for anyone who may be struggling with their dogs training…

I work with all kinds of dogs from puppies to adults, including a range of different behaviours. From basic training & obedience to reactivity on/off leash.

Training is a huge passion of mine and I would love to share it with you in the inner west, so if yourself, a neighbour, a friend, or family member is looking to revamp their dogs training, I'd love to be that person!
My main goal is to help owners get a better understanding of their dogs needs, whether it's recall, breed specific traits, reactivity and lunging at other dogs/people/cars, pulling on leash, barking, separation anxiety and more..

I will provide you with information and tools to better your relationship with your dog.

Meet Beetle!

He’s a 6 month old American Staffy x and it definitely shows! This guys got energy (:

Beetle’s owners came to me to help them have a well adjusted rescue puppy. During the consult we have confirmed he’s starting to show signs of resource guarding towards toys, and the owners bed/spaces. He’s also shown a bit of on leash reactivity that we will quickly nip in the bud.

We immediately got to work and this dude is already killing it.

Looking forward to more sessions with him and his lovely owners!

Meet Runi!

He’s a 2y Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever with an absolute passion for training. (Or so his dating profile says)

I am working with Runi and his owner to reduce on-leash reactivity towards other dogs, building neutrality, separation anxiety at home and building engagement in all areas 😌

This guy is absolutely killing it and we’ve only had one session together!! Looking forward to working with him more 🙌🏼

We had a fantastic consult on the weekend with her very lovely parents (:
I will be working with them to build engagement on walks, reduce general reactivity, pulling on leash and leash reactivity.
She got the craziest zoomies in her backyard after our first session 😆
