🚨1080 BAITING🚨

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service alongside the NSW Government will be conducting an aerial baiting program in the Royal National Park from the 6th to the 10th of May for the control of foxes.

The baits used will contain 1080 poison (sodium fluoroacetate) which is highly toxic to dogs and cats should they come into contact with or ingest it.

All baiting locations will be sign posted but to ensure the safety of your pets, the best course of action is to avoid taking your pets into the Royal National Park during the baiting period and shortly thereafter.

If you suspect your pet may have ingested some of the 1080 poison, seek veterinary attention immediately.

For after hours treatment, please contact Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) on (02) 8376 8767

🌸 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 🌸

Today we would like to celebrate the strength, resilience, compassion, dedication and extremely hard work of women around the world, but especially the wonderful women that make up 90% of our team at Engadine Veterinary Hospital 💕

In this industry, the hours are long, the work is not always easy and the physical and emotional toll is heavy. Yet every day our powerhouse team of female vets, nurses and support staff show up with a smile on their faces, ready for whatever the day may throw at them 🐾🩺

So today, we would like to thank you Dr Julie, Dr Bethany, Dr Tina, Melinda, Zoe L, Zoe M, Maddy, Ruby and Elise for everything you do 💕

🤗 MEET THE TEAM 🤗

You may have noticed a new face around the clinic over the past few weeks. We are pleased to welcome Dr Julie to the Engadine Veterinary Hospital team as our new Lead Veterinarian 🥳

Julie grew up in Sydney and initially studied Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at the University of Sydney where she completed her honors, in cancer research. After realising she preferred to work more hands on with animals, she decided to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree to become a vet in 2019.

Julie loves all aspects of being a vet, but has a particular interest in internal medicine.

She lives with her two rescue cats Fox and Pea as well as her American staffy Buddy and Toy poodle Mochi 🐱🐶
In her spare time you can find her tending to her house plants, at the beach or going to the gym 🪴🌊💪🏼
