First case H5N1 bird flu in NSW now confirmed..
There is no cause to panic. This is just to make everyone aware.

The first case of the deadly H5 bird flu is confirmed in a giant petrel found on the NSW Mid North Coast.

There has been no H5 bird flu detected in NSW, although it is important that we all are aware and report any sick or dead poultry, wild birds or wildlife.
If you see multiple sick or dead birds or other animals, do not touch them. Please follow the advice of AVA (Australian Veterinary Association) as per poster below.
