📣 ANNOUNCEMENT | New Director of Helpers
We are pleased to announce the appointment of John Daniel as the new WGSDCA Director of Helpers.

John brings over 20 + years of experience in the sport and has previously served in this role, contributing greatly to the development and mentoring of helpers. We’re excited to welcome him back into the position and look forward to the knowledge he will continue to bring to the WGSDCA community of Helpers.

We would like to thank Mark Gomersall for your contribution to the role previously and wish you all the best.

Introducing our CIC 2025 Judge, Peter Rohde (SV).

Peter first became involved in dog sports through his parents, accompanying his father to dog training as a small toddler!

In Peter’s words:

“My father had already practiced dog sports, and as a toddler, I always went to the dog park with him. My parents also owned a large dog boarding facility. So I grew up with dogs, and in 1986, I got my first Giant Schnauzer, which my parents bred”.

“In 1991, I got my first German Shepherd. From 1997 to 2007, I was a teaching assistant in the German Shepherd Dog Association (SV). Among other things, I was deployed as a protection service assistant at BSP, VDH DM, and state championships. I have been a German Shepherd breeder since 1995, in the "von Peroh" kennel. I have been a performance judge in the German Shepherd Dog Association (SV) since 2002. I have served as a judge at national championships in many countries”.

Peter’s dog sports accomplishments are numberous and include:
17 times BSP
11 times SV Bundes FCI
8 times VDH
4 times WUSV
1 time FCI World Championship
2016 & 2018 2nd place BSP
2017 FCI National Winner
2024 1st place BSP Winner
2024 3rd place WUSV
