Today serves a reminder to us the hardships of doing what we do. ππ©·
Little Bear came into boarding care with us over two years ago. With a plethora of chronic health concerns and the demand for high quality care, she was not expected to make it as long as she did.
With the persistence of her amazing mumma and the ongoing care of her amazing vets over at sydneyexoticandrabbitvets, Bear leaped over all hurdles and beat the odds of survival.
Through two and a half years of boarding with us, many assist feeding sessions, daily medications, cleaning stinky poos, engaging in ferret zoomies, and all the kisses and cuddles, Bear and her four other siblings have truely became part of our family.
Today unfortunately, little Bear finally crossed over the rainbow bridge. π
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our little Bear, and will miss her deeply at the Lodge.
It is in these times we are truely reminded just how special out boarders really are to us and how much they really do become a part of our family.
At Lop Lodge we truely strive to make sure our boarders are loved and really make the effort to make our home feel like their own. As we focus on the high quality care of our oldies, youngies, and disabled babies we often forget how short their life span can be and how much it hurts to see them go. We bond, we play, we medicate, we smooch and we grieve when we see them go.
A massive thank you to Bears amazing family for trusting us with the complex care for Bear over the years. We thank you for all of the love and support you have shown to us as we have grown as a small business. And we thank you for allowing your fur babies to become part of our family too.
Little Bear will be dearly missed. ππ©·
