β’οΈ REGIONAL FOX BAITING PROGRAM β’οΈ
Please note Foxshield poison bait (containing 1080) will be buried at the below reserves during Monday 28th April - Friday 16th May 2025.
- Ted Horwood Reserve
- Eric Mobbs Reserve
This is lethal to cats and dogs and the above bushland reserves will be closed to dogs (including on leash areas) during and up to 4 weeks after the baiting program.
It has been advised dogs can return to the above reserves from Saturday 14th June 2025.
If your pet has ingested the bait signs of toxicity can occur within 30 minutes of exposure but can also be delayed for up to several hours. Some symptoms can include hyperexcitation, vomiting, urinating and defecating uncontrollably, vocalization, restlessness and seizures.
Early recognition and aggressive treatment is best to improve chances of survival as cats and dog are highly susceptible to poisoning. As there is no antidote for 1080 it is best to avoid affected areas to prevent poisoning, if you think your pet has ingested some of the bait it is best to contact your local vet as soon as possible.
Otherwise if you have any concerns or request further information you can contact:
