FOSTER CARER NEEDED in Sydney. Meet Elsa, a two and a half year old, female Golden Retriever.

Elsa has come from an environment where she has not been used to living in a house. The dogs we have accepted from this facility have been blank slates and sometimes need support to settle into home living. They need to be taken slowly, they've never seen a couch, or the kitchen and the first time they see a TV they lose their minds 😁 They are not housetrained, but they learn quickly. They have not been handled roughly in their past and with gentle training can become really lovely dogs.

What Elsa needs in her foster home:

❄ Another friendly dog. These dogs have lived with other dogs and take comfort from them.

❄ No small children. They have not tested with kids and for everyone's safety we need to be strict.

❄ Someone committed to gentle, force free training. These ones respond to kindness and quickly settle in.

❄ The ability to transport them to Beverley Hills, Beecroft or Box Hill vets for their desexing and medical work. We will pay for all medical costs.

Fostering is the most rewarding part of rescue. You get to watch them learn and grow as their minds adjust to a reality that involves couches, soft beds and kisses. It is a bit magical. Note that foster carers get first opportunity to adopt their dog. If fostering turns to adoption, an adoption fee will apply.

You don't need to fit a 'perfect' scenario to become a Dogs4Jobs foster carer. Our wonderful team come from a variety of situations and homes, it is your passion and dedication to the cause that matters the most. 🥰🤗

Dell is a gorgeous, mischievous young girl who is just beginning to discover the joys of life! She has a true zest for fun—whether she’s splashing around in a paddling pool like a toddler, chasing flies, bees, and moths, or entertaining herself endlessly with a stick, a deflated basketball, or a soft toy.

Dell also gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a calm, confident companion to help guide her. While she can be cautious with new people, sometimes she decides right away that you’re a friend! Having had a rough start in life, Dell and her brother Sean (who is also looking for a home) were found with very little socialization. Because of this, she takes a little longer to warm up to men, but once she trusts you, you’re in her inner circle—and she has so much love to give!

Dell needs:

🐾 A calm, patient household or a property with a secure, fenced yard.
🐾 Someone dedicated to building her confidence and continuing her training.
🐾 A dog-savvy family (children over 12) who understands she’s still learning.
🐾 A structured environment—she’s not ready for busy dog parks yet, but she’s eager to grow.

📣Floofy border collie alert!!

Shadow is a 5-year-old border collie with so much love to give! 🤗

This gorgeous boy loves his toys, playing fetch, and running under the sprinkler. But most of all, he loves people - always ready to join his humans in whatever they are doing! 🥰

Shadow is playful with other dogs, and would love a home with a doggy friend and lots of space to run around.
