🎃 Halloween Pet Safety Tip: Keep Chocolate Away!

With Halloween approaching, remember to keep chocolate and sweets out of reach of your pets.

Chocolate contains two TOXIC ingredients: Theobromine and Caffeine, which can be dangerous or even life-threatening for animals.

Here's how you can protect your pets:

👉 Store chocolate out of reach
👉 Be vigilant during gatherings and with children
👉 Know the symptoms of ingestion: vomiting, diarrhoea, restlessness, or hyperactivity

If you suspect that your pet has ingested chocolate, give us a call at any time for emergency veterinary advice 🚑

Superhero in training 🦸🏼‍♂️

Meet Yuzu, a handsome 1 year old male golden retriever who spent the day with our blood donor team, learning the ropes of a blood donor.

He was introduced to the team, and given a tour of the hospital. Lots of cuddles and positive reinforcement (in the form of yummy chicken treats), lead to a very successful trial run for blood collection 🎉🎉🎉

Do you think your dog could follow in the paw prints of Yuzu? Please contact the team here:

Donor requirements
❤️ Fully vaccinated with no known health conditions
❤️ Friendly and calm demeanour
❤️ 1-8 years old
❤️ Never traveled abroad
❤️ Dogs weighing over 25kg

If you want to see how Yuzu keeps his paw-rents busy and his daily adventures (when he isn’t being a superhero), you can check out his instagram,
