Ensuring the safety of your dog from fleas and paralysis ticks is crucial year-round. That’s why our clinic now offers year-long flea and paralysis tick protection for dogs in one dose.

Fleas and ticks are not just a nuisance, they can potentially threaten your dog’s health, no matter where you live.

In Australia, the paralysis tick is one of the most dangerous parasites with just one female adult tick bite capable of causing life threatening illness and even death to your beloved dog.

That is why it’s vital to prioritise year-round prevention in conjunction with daily searching for and removal of any ticks found.

Symptoms of tick paralysis include:
• Weakness in front or hind legs
• Rapid or difficulty breathing
• Changes in the sound of their bark
• Coughing, gagging, or vomiting

If you believe your dog is exhibiting symptoms of tick paralysis, contact us immediately.

Prevention is better than cure.
Our team of vets can now give you peace of mind all year long with 12 months of flea and paralysis tick protection in just one dose.

For any questions or if you’d like to book your dog in for their yearly flea and tick injection, please call us on 9660-1771.

Hot and humid weather can make dogs more prone to developing hotspots!
Pyohex Medicated Shampoo is an aid in the treatment of superficial dermatitis associated with infections by Staphylococcus pseudintermedius in dogs🐶
REASONS FOR BACTERIAL SKIN INFECTIONS:
The majority of skin infection cases in dogs are due to underlying conditions which allow the low numbers of normal bacterial residents to overgrow and cause disease.
UNDERLYING CAUSES FOR BACTERIAL INFECTIONS:
🌼Allergies: pollen, grass, food, fleas
⚖️Hormonal problems (including Cushing’s disease and hypothyroidism)
🔬Parasitic infestations
In an active infection we recommend bathing twice a week with Pyohex Medicated Shampoo and once every 1-2 weeks for maintenance or as directed by your veterinarian. Pyohex Medicated Conditioner should be used after bathing to prolong the antibacterial action and moisturise the skin and coat.

Update: has been adopted 🎉
Nutmeg is a 3 month old male kitten who was found in a carpark in Chester Hill. He came to us very healthy and strong last week, and has been vaccinated and wormed and is ready to find his forever home as soon as possible.
Nutmeg is the sweetest little cat! He will happily spend hours cuddling in your arms, but is equally confident, playful and adventurous. He also seems to like other cats, and could probably do well in a busy household.
Please feel free to pop by and meet him! Call us for further details 9660-1771
