What a HUGE positive change in such a short time! It’s scenarios like this that I truely feel I’ve got the best job in the world!
Backstory: This gorgeous little pup is Molly. A very sweet, very loved new member in a loving family. She has her best friend in a 9 year old boy and the two play, train and hang out b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l-l-y.
Molly had she first class in Puppy Class last Monday and it was a bit overwhelming 🫣 New place, new people, new smells, puppies she’s never seen let alone interacted with was all quite daunting!
There were some uncomfortable growls, some body tremors/ shaking, not feeling the desire to explore or interact with anyone but her best friend big brother and Dad.
Molly was given the opportunity to have COMPLETE control as to if she wanted to venture around, explore, interact with anyone and anything. Molly made it clear she just wasn’t ready.
And that is and will always be COMPLETELY ok! We NEVER force, we never insist. We give puppies the time THEY need to feel safe, comfortable in new situations and help them have positive first impressions!
Tonight, we all saw the wonderful outcome of doing this process.
Molly is turning into quite a confident, outgoing, playful towards other people and puppies kinda girl! So very proud of Molly. She played, she did her practical exercises/skills, she ate, SHE HAD FUN! And even helped me out as the demo pup for one of our skills 👏🏻👏🏻
Her tail wags turned into little bottom wags 😍😍
This is a photo I had to take to illustrate the level of Molly’s comfort levels in her 2nd class ☺️
Go Molly and team!
