It has been notably quiet due to the school holidays and Christmas period. Here are the beautiful litter that Hazel x Teddy blessed us with just before Christmas. We have 4 beautiful chocolate and tan boys. Can you believe it.

BREEDER BOAST MOMENT

Dogs have such a beautiful way of forming deep bonds, and Luca is the perfect example of that. 💖

After two years, 3 months apart, he recognized me immediately and couldn’t contain his excitement! His reaction just shows how strong their love and memory can be.
🐾 His mum, Danielle, told me Luca’s never like this with anyone else, which made the moment even more special.
💕 Luca, the brother of our Hazel and Poppy of basito.miniaturedachshunds , has always had such a sweet, loving nature. From the moment I arrived, he was my little shadow, following me around with pure joy.

**Attention: Extreme Heat Alert**

It’s incredibly hot today, and temperatures are expected to soar again tomorrow. Please keep a close eye on your pets to ensure they stay safe and comfortable during this heatwave.

**Walking Tips:**
- If you’re walking your dog, do so either early in the morning or late in the afternoon/evening to avoid the hottest part of the day.
- **The 5-second rule:** Before taking your dog for a walk, test the pavement by placing your bare foot or hand on the ground. If you can’t maintain contact for at least 5 seconds without discomfort, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws, and you should avoid walking them.

**Important Reminders:**
- Leave multiple water bowls outside—especially in your front yard—for both pets and wildlife. Birds, lizards, and other animals can struggle in the heat and may not have easy access to water.

Our beautiful litter has free access to Royal Canin Kibble and is fed Raw in the morning. Mum wasn't eating unless I put her bowl in with her babies.

Kibble mixed with water and raw. Seems these babies were super keen, lol. ( was a basic meal today)

BTW, background banging is Summer protesting she finished her lunch 😆

What a weekend! Angel and I had an absolute blast at the combined Far South East Kennel Club and Lake George & Wamboin Kennel Club shows in Bungendore! After some time off, Angel was in the best mood—happy, tail wagging, and loving every minute of it!

She came home with 3 x RU Bitch Challenge, 4 x Intermediate of Breed, and 1 x Best of Breed over the four shows! I’m beyond proud of her! A huge thank you to the wonderful judges, Stewart's, and the amazing teams who made this event so special. Everything was so well organized, and we’re so grateful to the clubs for putting on such a fantastic weekend.

And of course, we can’t forget the fun camping trip and all the laughs with Annalisa from basito.miniaturedachshunds, Thanks for the great company and for making it the perfect girls’ weekend away! Can’t wait to do it all again! 😘

Morticia, our vibrant shaded red pup, has reached a remarkable milestone by opening her eyes at just 13 days old, and I couldn't be more thrilled. As the first of her siblings to achieve this, she's setting the pace for a bright future. I’m so eager to witness her continued growth and all the wonderful moments to come!

**Exciting News: Miniature Long Haired Dachshund Puppies!**

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of our adorable Miniature Long Haired Dachshund puppies, born on October 16th! They’re now one week old and full of charm. Mummy's doing a fabulous job.

**Litter Details:**
- 2 Black and Tan Boys
- 1 Black and Tan Girl
- 1 Shaded Red Girl
- 1 Shaded Red Boy (currently being bottle-fed)

In the spirit of October, our theme is *The Addams Family*:

- **Red Girl:** Morticia
- **Black and Tan Girl:** Wednesday
- **Boys:** Names still to be decided (but we’re considering Cousin Itt, Gomez, and Uncle Fester)!
