Seven years ago, I had no idea what I was doing.

I adopted Rya thinking I was getting a sweet, affectionate cat.

And I did, until the behavior started. The 2am screaming. The aggression. The anxiety that seemed to come out of nowhere.

I needed help. What I got was YouTube videos, Facebook groups, and a thousand conflicting tips that didn't work.

So I spent years figuring it out myself. Learning what actually works. Building the solution I wish I'd had from the beginning.

That's why we do things differently here. No guessing, no trial and error. Just the real knowledge cat parents actually need.

You love your cat.

But loving them doesn’t mean you have to figure this all out on your own.

I work with so many cat parents who wait months, even years, hoping the behaviour will pass.

That maybe they’re overreacting. That maybe if they just change one more thing, it’ll get better.

But here’s what I want you to know:

⚠️ The earlier you seek support, the easier it is to turn things around.

⚠️ Waiting doesn’t fix behaviour. Understanding does.

If your cat is acting aggressively, avoiding touch, lashing out, or constantly on edge, these aren’t quirks. They’re signals.

And the longer they go unsupported, the more complex they can become. If your gut says, “I think I need help”…

Listen to that.

It means they have to keep going back to the same shared space for food, water, or the litter tray. When those resources are concentrated in one place, it puts pressure on the cats using them.

You start to see it in small ways. One cat waits for the other to leave before approaching. Another eats quickly. A litter tray gets avoided at certain times.

These are early signs that the setup isn’t working as well as it could.

If nothing changes, that pressure tends to build. That’s when it can turn into more obvious issues like conflict between cats, ongoing stress behaviours, or toileting problems that don’t resolve.

When you spread resources out, you create a sense of abundance instead. Cats don’t have to keep navigating each other in the same way. They can move, eat, and settle without that constant pressure around shared areas.

That’s usually when things start to settle across the home.

This is one of the first things we look at when something isn’t working in a multi-cat home. And if you feel like things have started to slip out of control, comment ‘TRANSFORM’ to find out how we can tackle this together.

They're a great listener. Mostly because they have no choice.

Cats pick up on more than people realise.

The way you move, your tone, how tense your body is… it all feeds into how safe or unsettled they feel.

So when things are already a bit off, like they’re following you around, reacting more, or not settling, it’s easy to try and manage their behaviour directly.

But a lot of the time, they’re responding to what’s going on around them, including you.

If you’re stressed, rushing, or on edge, they feel it.

That’s why staying calm, slowing things down, and responding in a steady way can make such a difference. It gives them something consistent to read and settle into.

Desensitisation… or repeated stress exposure? 🤔

Before you copy things like this, ask yourself, “is my cat actually getting more comfortable… or are they learning they can’t get away?”

If your cat has to scratch, bite, or panic to be put down, they’re not adjusting, they’re being pushed too far.

Happy Respect Your Cat Day! 🐾

The pet industry wants you to think that "respect" means buying a new designer bed or a $100 automated toy. But as a behaviorist, I’ll let you in on a secret:

Your cat doesn't care about the price tag.

They care about agency. They care about predictability. And they care about their instincts being met.

Most of the time, the best things you can give your cat are things you already have: a cardboard box, a quiet place to sleep, and a human who waits for a "yes" before picking them up.

Respect is about seeing the world from their 10-inch-high perspective.

Tell me: What is the one "free" thing your cat is obsessed with? (Mine is definitely a crumpled receipt) 👇

TOMORROW is the day your 4:00 AM wake-up calls finally start to end. 🤫

I have just 6 guest seats left for the Excessive Meowing Reset workshop, and once they’re gone, the doors close.

If you’ve been "putting out fires" with treats, opening doors, or trying to "shush" your cat just to get five more minutes of sleep, you already know….it’s not working.

You’re exhausted, your cat is frustrated, and the cycle is only getting louder.

This isn’t just another "tips and tricks" session. Tomorrow, I’m pulling back the curtain on the actual behavior science of vocalization. I’m showing you the exact framework I use with my private clients to:

➡️ Identify the "Invisible" Triggers: Why it’s almost never "just for attention."

➡️ Map the Territory: How your home’s layout might be causing the noise.

➡️ Break the Reinforcement Loop: How to stop reacting and start responding in a way that actually works.

For $47 (less than the cost of a few bags of "calming" treats that don't work), you get:

✅ 90 minutes of live, expert coaching.
✅ A personalized workbook to map out your cat’s specific "Why."
✅ Access to the replay (so you can re-watch whenever you need a refresh).

This is the most cost-effective way to get professional behavior support without the $300+ price tag of a private consultation.

Don’t spend another week wondering why they won’t stop.

Comment ‘GUEST’ right now to grab one of the final seats before we go live tomorrow! 💚
