After a nice long holiday over the Christmas break (for horses and humans), our pre-trainers have come back into full work, starting off with some dressage and arena work before we take them to the track..

Another Graduate from the stables...
7 year old warmblood gelding that finished his time with us this week.
This big guy was sent over to finshed being backed and start his proper ridden education.
Although a sweet horse, he has had his quirks, and has needed some miles on his back and taken a little time for him to come around to understanding everything..
I can't thank Jo McFarlane enough for being patient and giving us the time that he has needed.
Now for Javais to put the finishing polish onto him.

Great to see Currency Kamar run an absolute blinder of a second place on her first race start for Emma Hubbard Racing...
This filly spent some time over with us earlier in the year working out her quirks and kinks.. Certainly pays off in the long run!

Fantastic to see two graduates having their first start at the races this week and both only being narrowly pipped for 2nd place each...
Gargantuan (Erin Maher Racing) @ Swan Hill today and Neylon's Dream (Ebony Tucker Racing) @ Moe on Tuesday...
Both of these horses coming from owners who have been great supporters of us for quite some time now..

Rising 3yr old Tulara warmblood filly by Jaloubet K.

We started Maeve lightly a only a couple of months ago before a bit of a spell, only having given her a 4 week prep... She has now been back in for the past 4ish weeks. We have done this a few times now with a few young warmbloods and it seems to make all the difference with how they put their education together, and how much easier they are to work with 2nd time around.

Warmblood gelding, known as George, (Chicken George to others) has finished his second preparation here with us and Ingrid Abrahams has now taken the reins to finish putting the polish on him. George has taken a bit of time to put it all together, with being so young, he has had a good spell between his breaking prep and this preparation where he has now spent more time under saddle.
With still quite a lot of maturing to do, but seeing the potential he has, we are certainly looking forward to seeing him out and about in the future.
