Feeling alone in your climate concerns? You’re not. 🌍🤝 Finding a community is a powerful first step toward climate action, especially in the workplace.

At WorkforClimate, we hear this often: “I thought I was the only one.” The truth is, many corporate employees share your concerns but stay silent, fearing that climate action isn’t “practical” in a business environment. It’s time to change that.

Cam Elliott, our Community Growth Lead, explains that finding your people is key. It’s not just about feeling less alone - it’s about collective power. When we connect, learn, and work together, we create real change. 🚀🌱

🚨 Last Friday, we hosted our third Academy Live Lab, bringing together 30+ members to dive into two key topics: Greenwashing & Empowerment Dynamics. 💡

🌱 Our Director, Lucy Piper, shared the five red flags of greenwashing, helping members identify pitfalls and take meaningful action toward their organisation’s net-zero goals, including the critical Scope 3 emissions.

🔄 We also explored the drama triangle and empowerment dynamic, with Renee and Lydia leading a fun role-play to show both productive and unproductive climate conversations in the workplace.

The session ended on an inspiring note with Wangari Maathai's poem, 'I will be a hummingbird', reminding us to keep doing the best we can. 🐦

We're one month into the Academy program, and our 41 passionate changemakers are making great strides! Last week, we focused on two key topics: switching to 100% renewables and finding climate allies at work. 💡

Each participant explored their role in helping their company make the shift to clean energy. Whether building a case to leadership or directly implementing changes, everyone is finding their path. 🌱

They also mapped out key climate allies and practiced deep listening and asking powerful, generative questions to strengthen these relationships. As one participant said, "It’s hard to break the habit of not asking open questions, but when you do, it provokes a lot more thought." 💬

We're excited for what's next - stay tuned for an update on our next live session in the Academy where we'll be diving into net zero emissions and building buy-in with decision-makers.
