Steve and his family created Qld Mushrooms at North Maclean and grew on average around 70 ton of mushrooms per week. Since the family sold the farm, Steve wanted to continue growing, so we took on the old Woodford Mushroom farm. Steve has since purchased another farm on the Sunshine Coast (Chevallum) which will see Steve producing about 30 ton of mushrooms per week. Chevallum farm will be run by o

ur son Rhys, who is a 3rd generation mushroom farmer. Steve has been involved with mushrooms since he was a baby and has worked in all areas of mushroom cultivation. Steve has been growing mushrooms for 29 years and has a reputation as being one of the best growers in Australia.

Today we said goodbye to Colin Erbacher. Colin and his family own Erbachers fruit and veg here on the Sunshine Coast. Colin was only 43 years old with three young kids and a beautiful wife. We have supplied Erbachers our mushrooms for 15 years. Colin was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer around the same time as I was diagnosed with Stage 1. I was the lucky one. I haven’t told many people about my cancer but I’m saying it now. Get tested people. Don’t trust the govt poo tests as it didn’t work for me. Low iron saved my life because my doctor made me have a colonoscopy. Bowel Cancer is a silent killer. Don’t let it happen to you. We will miss you Colin! ❤️

🇮🇹 Stuffed Mushrooms (Funghi Ripieni)
Savory baked mushrooms filled with garlic, herbs, and crispy topping.

Ingredients (Serves 4):
• 12 large button mushrooms
• 4 tbsp olive oil
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 60 g breadcrumbs
• 40 g grated Parmesan
• 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
• Salt and pepper

Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 190°C.
2️⃣ Remove mushroom stems and chop them finely.
3️⃣ Sauté stems with garlic in olive oil.
4️⃣ Mix with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper.
5️⃣ Fill mushroom caps with the mixture.
6️⃣ Drizzle with olive oil.
7️⃣ Arrange on baking tray.
8️⃣ Bake 20 minutes until golden.
9️⃣ Serve warm.
