At Simon Fielder Horsemanship, every horse is approached as an individual. We take the time to understand how each horse thinks, learns and responds, creating a training program tailored to their unique needs, personality and your goals.

Our focus is about building understanding, confidence and connection so that horses become willing, thoughtful partners both on the ground and under saddle.

Training programs may be suitable for, for example:

At Simon Fielder Horsemanship, we offer full care agistment.

Our full-care agistment is designed for owners who want the confidence of knowing their horse is being checked on daily by experienced horse people who genuinely care about their wellbeing.

Whether your horse is a cherished pleasure horse, a competition partner, enjoying a quieter season, or needing a little extra support, we take the time to get to know them and work with you to ensure their needs are met.

Full-care agistment includes:

🐴 Feeding twice daily (owner-supplied feed - and prepared by owner)
🐴 Rugging and fly veil changes (morning/night)
🐴 Daily health and wellbeing monitoring
🐴 Additional care services by arrangement (for a fee)

Agistees also enjoy access to a range of facilities:
🌿 Individual paddocks
🌿 60m x 20m sand arena
🌿 Round yard
🌿 Wash bay
🌿 Float parking
🌿 Tack and equipment storage (subject to availability)

We’re excited to share that Simon Fielder Horsemanship and Amanda Gunn Equine Bodywork are moving to our new home at Dulong Park.

This beautiful property will become the base for a growing range of services designed to support both horses and the people who care for them.

Over the coming months, we'll be gradually introducing:

🐴 Horse training and starting under saddle
🐴 Full-care agistment
🐴 Clinics and educational opportunities
🐴 Equine bodywork
🐴 Special events and collaborative learning experiences

While there is still plenty happening behind the scenes as we settle in, we're looking forward to creating a place where horses are cared for with thought and attention, and where people can enjoy spending time with their horses in a supportive, encouraging environment - learning, growing and having fun together.

One of the things we love exploring in our clinics is becoming curious about what our horses actually enjoy. Not what we think they should like, but what they choose.

Different brushes, different pressures and different grooming techniques can all give us valuable information if we’re willing to pay attention.

I certainly wasn’t expecting this response!

Apparently, his favourite thing is a mane and tail brush… on his body… with quite a bit of pressure. The hardest part wasn’t finding the right spot - it was having the stamina and energy to keep up !

Funny horse - even funnier without ears!! 😂

It certainly felt very powerful from where I was sitting - and the W***y Wagtail that followed Trooper around for the entire session added a special and very curious little touch.
