I am absolutely devastated💔

Thanking you lovely lady Velvet Valley Rabbits for being there for this baby and looking after her every need since she came to you with horrific injuries sustained on the trip to you. It was truly the kindest thing to let her go and end her suffering. No more pain.

RIP beautiful The Dishevelled Bunny "Aurora" Beloved Ice cream bean🌈

It is with a totally devastated heart I am sharing the news of the passing of Aurora, who was euthanized at the vet this afternoon. The damage done to her feet in the care of Raggys pet transport was severe. From the extended transport in unsanitary conditions the pads of her feet died and when they finally fell away it exposed bone and caused her ligaments to dislocate. It was horrific and the suffering she went through unimaginable. I can only be thankful that she is no longer suffering.

I have always been so hesitant to transport rabbits and this was my second time, first time was a breeze (with a different company) this time was all I had feared and more. Please do not make the same mistake as me and either transport your animals yourself or quadruple check the credentials of anyone advertising as a transporter! also encourage anyone who has had a bad experience to please report it! And leave a bad review! As we are now after this experience being told of other people's bad experiences and if we had known, Aurora would never have been put into their care.

I again want to thank V at The Dishevelled Bunny for being so supportive during Aurora's treatment 🩷 What an amazingly caring and intelligent women, a serious treasure trove of information on rabbit care.
I am also on a much more selfish side so disappointed that Aurora's genetics will not be able to improve my herd, she was seriously the most plush bunny I had ever felt, had such a gentle temperament and was obviously incredibly robust to even arrive here alive after the treatment she endured in transport. She was a credit to the fantastic breeding and animal husbandry of V.

To say that I am furious, heartbroken and shocked is an understatement.

A week ago I sent my last rex kit to NSW via Raggy’s pet transport . On her journey of 6 days, this poor doe was neglected. Left sitting in her own filth causing sore hocks and urinary scald. She arrived to her new owner skinny, dirty with opened wounds and weepy eyes caused by the ammonia build up in her small carrier. The company has not displayed an inch of remorse, only excused as to why she was delivered in the state that she was. They have openly stated they did NOT feed her the food I packed for her but instead fed her their own mix of chaff and pellets. Most of you that follow me are rabbit breeders yourselves and know that this act alone could have resulted in her death. They have also openly admitted to only cleaning around her and not under her and blamed a leaking water bottle on the stare she is in. I am forever grateful for our friend Velvet Valley Rabbits for looking after her now and do hope that this "pet service" will give her a full refund AND cover medical expenses.

Please if you are ever in a position of needing pet transport, stay well away from this company.

I am already missing this guy and it's only been 3 short hours since he was picked up by animal transport. He has left me to help out another amazing breeder. Thank you Sam Whirlwind Rabbit Stud for loving my beautiful Cedric. He will have a bright future with you 💞

The time has come to shut our door💔

I would like to thank everyone for their love and support throughout the years. This has been an incredibly hard decision but unfortunately a necessary one.

I'm going to keep a few very special buns that I just cannot part with. Most of my breeders have found their loving homes already. Some are still waiting for transport so I can cuddle them for a bit longer.Angel is still waiting for her forever home which is fine because only the best wil do.

These two lovely ladies have left me today to a beautiful breeder's home that I fully trust❣️ Wishing them beautiful futures.

EDIT: So to say I'm angry is an understatement. So for now, Angel is staying until I can find a better home for her.
