It’s National Volunteer Week and we want to recognise all the amazing volunteers who make KOALA RESCUE Inc possible by giving their time, energy, compassion, and hearts to helping koalas in need.
To our hotline operators — thank you for being the calm voice on the other end of the phone gathering critical information, supporting worried callers, providing education and ensuring rescuers have the correct details to respond quickly and safely.
To our rescuers — thank you for answering the call at all hours, often heading into difficult and confronting situations to save injured, sick, or vulnerable koalas. Your dedication and courage make an enormous difference.
To our carers — thank you for opening your homes and your lives 24/7 to koalas in care. You provide food, water, safety, warmth, cleanliness, transport to veterinary appointments, and endless patience while following specialised advice to give every koala the best chance possible.
To our Committee Members and all others in many other roles that are needed … Thank You.
Behind every rescue, every recovery, and every release is a team of volunteers working together with one shared goal — protecting and caring for our precious koalas.
