Another weekly treat for my girls …

With this strange weather, my girls are slow off the mark this season

We have had cold mornings, an October frost and then 2 x 24+ days, so they’re all over the shop

Good nutrition is vital to keep them feeling fancy!

This morning’s offering (for 30 birds)

Wilty broccolini x6
Vitec Organics mineral kelp stock supplement (4 tablespoons)
Soaked oats (4 cups)
Tinned sardines (3 tins)
Oregano oil (8 drops)

This is amazing for :

🦠 Gut health: oregano compounds can inhibit some bacteria and may support a healthier intestinal environment.
* 🪱 Digestive function: some poultry studies suggest oregano products can improve feed digestion and gut function.
* 🛡️ Immune support: its antioxidant properties may help reduce oxidative stress.
* 🥚 General production: commercial poultry studies have found some oregano-based feed additives can improve feed efficiency and, in some circumstances, egg production or quality.
* 🌿 Respiratory support: the aromatic compounds may have some antimicrobial effects, but oregano oil shouldn’t be relied on to treat respiratory disease.

Remember this is not veterinary advice, just based on what we do for our birds

Happy Chookening folks ! 🤍🐓

It’s that time !!!

We are winding up for a great season …..

I am grateful for all our lovely customers who have been so patient with our waitlist.

If you’re on our list, please shoot me a reminder of

Name
Contact
Number of birds
Colour preference (please note we will do our best to accommodate, but on occasion a certain colourway is not available)

If I don’t hear from you, I’ll assume you’re no longer interested.

We are only very small and we are about the quality not the quantity !

Happy Chookening folks
