🤍🤍🤍
We received a very sad and unexpected update today about one of our beautiful cats 🤍
Dreamfyre came into foster care in October 2024, heavily pregnant, and gave birth to five beautiful kittens, each with their own unique markings: Vermax, a silver tabby girl much like her mum; Syrax, our tiny tuxedo girl; Meleys, a stunning all-black little girl; Seasmoke, a handsome dark grey boy; and Caraxes, a beautiful, tiny tabby boy.
Tragically, Caraxes passed away at just a few days old. Despite our best efforts and interventions, the sweet boy passed peacefully, warm and surrounded by his mum, siblings, and myself.
Dreamfyre was an incredible mum. She doted on her babies right up until she was adopted. She was the friendliest, happiest little girl! She loved her humans and got along beautifully with all of our other animals. She was truly one of a kind, and I genuinely thought long and hard about foster failing and keeping her forever 🤍
That was until I met her perfect new family, everything she could have dreamed of. She was adopted in December 2024 and I would be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear as she walked out the door, but her new family loved endlessly already. Renamed Yume, she quickly became a cherished member of her new family, alongside her three feline siblings.
Recently, Yume was diagnosed with renal lymphoma. Despite her family’s best efforts, and the support of their dedicated veterinary teams at Greencross, SASH, and ARH, there was sadly nothing more that could be done.
We are heartbroken that sweet Yume only had just over a year in her wonderful new life, but we are so incredibly grateful to Mell and her family for opening their home to an adult cat, giving her the life she deserved, and doing everything they could for her right until the very end.
Our beautiful girl has now been reunited with her beautiful boy, both taken far too soon 🤍
