Have a listen to this by Australian Jumping’s new podcast platform about Jennifer Wood and Boree Equine - located at Cudal only an hour and a bit away from us we are so lucky to have this facility relatively close! ☺️…Driving four hours is not unheard of for us to attend clinics and competitions so we are so grateful to have this facility so close ! 🙏🏼🐎🍀

JENNIFER WOOD | It was a pleasure to catch up with Jen Wood Boree Equine to learn more about her beginnings in the sport and the journey to where she is today. We hope you enjoy reading more about this much loved member of the Australian Jumping community.

We are heartbroken our hero and mentor lost her battle with cancer recently - Glennis was always one to cast an eye over our horses and riders performances - I learnt so much from Glennis whilst working at GlenBarrey Stud during my teenage years - many of our day to day routines are influenced by her meticulous attention to detail and the management of her top equine athletes 🥰 We will miss you Glennis but we will never forget you xx

VALE | With a passion for Dressage, Glennis (Scott) Barrey featured at many major Australian events in the 1990’s with Leonardo 68, and she represented Australia on Livius 28 at Stockholm WEG in 1990, continuing her Grand Prix competition career in CDI-W events in Australia up until around 2010 with Classico II. After Big Tour, Glennis continued competing in local dressage competitions.

The Scott’s were a family with great vision, Glennis parents turned a 25 acre block of land at Maraylya, NSW into a horse hub known as Horseworld Stadium. There was a large Indoor arena and a 60x 20 that adjoined it undercover also. This venue was host to so many championships, not only Dressage but Jumping and later in its life, rodeos.

Glennis was an EA Level 3 Dressage Coach inspiration to so many of EA’s current Coaches and Dressage Riders, who are now sharing their learnings on to the next generations of Australian riders.

EA sends condolence’s to Glennis daughter Georgina Barrey, herself an accomplished Show Horse equestrienne, family and EA members/friends of Glennis at this difficult time.
