Little Winston popped down from Brisvegas for his first big-boy haircut and was such a champion! 💙🐾 Big credit to his wonderful mum for keeping this handsome little guy so beautifully brushed and cared for! 🥰✨

As groomers, we all have days where we absolutely nail it… and days where things don’t go quite to plan. But the reality is, a groom is only ever as good as the conditions behind it — the dog’s behaviour and comfort on the table, the brushing and maintenance done at home, and sometimes even things as simple as the weather makes a difference!
☔️ 😌 …. So while I’m still here cleaning up after feeding my own family tonight, here’s a gentle reminder that groomers are always doing the very best they can with the conditions they’re working in. We care deeply, we put our hearts into every dog, and we’re constantly trying to give each client the best result possible.
That being said, I was really happy with this cute cut today..he’s just adorable.🤎

This is a reminder of how quickly things can escalate for our pups — even from something as small as a bee or wasp sting.

A client’s dog was stung on the paw a few weeks ago and had a mild reaction. Then last week he was stung again — this time on the muzzle — and it became much more serious, requiring emergency overnight care.

Most stings cause pain, swelling, and irritation, and many dogs will be okay with monitoring. But some reactions can be severe — especially with repeat stings or in sensitive dogs.

Signs to watch for:
• Swelling (especially around the face, mouth, or throat)
• Drooling or pawing at the face
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Weakness or collapse
• Difficulty breathing

These can indicate an allergic reaction, which can become life-threatening very quickly.

What to do if your dog is stung:
• Gently scrape out any visible stinger (avoid squeezing it)
• Apply a cold compress to help reduce swelling
• Keep your dog calm and monitor closely

Seek veterinary care immediately if:
• Your dog is stung in the mouth or throat
• There is significant or rapidly increasing swelling
• Your dog shows any signs of an allergic reaction or anaphylaxis

In this case, a quick-thinking owner and fast veterinary care made all the difference — and he’s home today because of it ❤️🐾

A small moment can turn into an emergency — but being aware can save your pup’s life 🐝‼️🐾🥰
