Susan and Staff at Chicas Cattery extend best wishes for the Festive Season.
We are having a great time looking after a full house of lovely cats. From the eldest "Flick" a tabby and white 21 year old in great form, still giving the orders. To the baby 3 month old "Benjamen" learning about life and hoping to please. What a sweetheart.

Welcome to Chicas five beautiful kits born 24 October.
Siamese Blue Point, Oriental Lilac and Ticked tabby girls. Oriental Brown Ticked and Mackerel tabby boys.
Thank you so much to Mum (Oriental Black "Magic Maggie") who hung on till I returned from UK before presenting me with the kitties only hours after I got off the plane. Dad is "Thai Express" Siamese Choc Tabby Point.

OLAF....Poor OLAF. My attempt to encourage his owners to take him home...they are in Perth...or allow me to find him a good forever family via rescue agency backfired terribly. his owners were very cross with me about this Facebook post threatened to sue me and decided to board him in another cattery waiting a vacancy to surrender him to Cat Haven.
I had to say goodbye and so sorry OLAF...please forgive me and I so much hope and pray you eventually are given a good home you deserve

OLAF was left at Chicas Cattery on 22nd November 2024. Supposed to be a few weeks then a few months and now it is nearly a year I feel so sorry for him. He is a healthy four or five years old white semi-long hair with a placid nature. he needs desperately a home of his own and properly socializing . I am getting virtually no communication from his owner who is apparently in Queensland, who very occasionally pays me a little bit of money, which does not even cover his food let alone his board, but who will not give me permission to find him a new home. She said two months ago per text she's going to pick him up but quite clearly I cannot believe anything she says. I am wondering what others would do. Am I legally able to find him another home without her Express permission. Poor Olaf. To me this is cruelty that I am party to and I am most concerned.

HARLEY the lovely young Bengal. Full of bounce friendly, mischievous and handsome. He had me worried because he rejected everything I offered him to eat.... premium biscuits expensive food all sorts of flavors. I was concerned because he was such a lively big boy so I consulted his owners. They had been embarrassed to let me know they actually fed him roast chicken pulled into bite-size pieces and covered with grated cheese. Haha that was the answer. I duly purchaed roasted chicken broke into bite-size. He ate it all and continued to eat whatever was served for breakfast and supper so long as there was roasted chicken included. Just look at that beautiful coat he is all muscle and such a happy soul.

Gloria Beckett, respected breeder and exhibitor of Chinchilla cats some years ago, died on 10 August. She was a gentle kind lady and she kept herself as well groomed as her beautiful cats.

Sadly she leaves behind two cats and her son has asked me to put the word round just in case somebody would like to give them a home. They do not, apparently, need to be together as they were not too fond of each other haha... one is a 12-year-old Chinchilla male called Harvey and the other is a 9-year-old domestic black and white short hair called Norman. They have stayed at Chicas cattery as recently as April this year. They have been well looked after and are friendly creatures. Chicas It is Magic or Timmo or cheeky chops is getting way too much into my heart. I love him and I mustn't. Would anybody like to adopt this young boy who is full of love, purrrrrs and mischief.. would do great in a big household. He does eat a lot be warned. He is a pedigree Oriental .. But...Puzzling Behaviour
I dont understand.. In response to my last post re this little kitten I made arrangements with a lady to come and visit him she expressed great interest and was very keen. we exchanged information on pedigree, cost etc etc. Then I developed the horrible flu which is going around Perth and I needed to postpone the visit. Yes she said I will contact you next week no problem. But she never did. I messaged her to ask her intentions but she has just not bothered to reply. Does anybody else find that Puzzling Behavior ....so maybe she didn't really want a little kitten all???
