These beautiful Australian Shepherds, Stevie and Goose are a credit to their owners for being consistent with their training.
A little barking issue with the door bell is being over come but the owners now have the skills that turn this around.

This is Koda. He is a beautiful 45 kg German Shepherd. Koda has a leash reactivity issue and wants to lunge at every dog he sees.
Training starts in a few days to give him self control and be able to make better decisions.

This is Zeus and we need a foster home for him urgently in Melbourne. We have a new owner for him but he needs a temporary home for several weeks until they can take him.
Zeus has just been saved from destruction and he deserves a good life.
If you are in Melbourne or know someone that can assist then please share this.
He will receive free training and food.
Zeus is a beautiful, loving boy and loves all people. He needs some training to interact with other dogs which will be given.
He is a 12 month old Bull Arab cross and I highly recommend him for a temporary stay.

My beautiful boy Cicci suffered a seizure earlier today for the first time. He is ok however, I thought I would share some info with you.
Cicci is about to turn 4 and has never had any health issues. So this means it can happen to anyone’s pooch and obviously unexpectedly.
You need to remain calm and observe everything that happens during the seizure. All things leading up to it, during it and afterwards. The length of the seizure and the awareness in your dogs eyes after.
Take your dog to the Vet as soon as possible so they can run tests and give them all of the information you have.
It’s easy to say stay calm, but you need to for your beloved furry friend.
Dogs communicate with us if you know how to read the signs and Cicci was telling me there was something wrong for the last few days and we already had the Vet appointment booked for today.
Pay attention to your dogs behaviour and then f things aren’t right then get them checked.

Dogs of the week. Obi-Wan the Minature Australian Shepherd and Indi the 3 month old Rottie. Obi is a little reactive and we will easily make Obi a more confident boy and Indi is just a pup and the owner just wanted to start Indi’s training off the right way from a young age.

This is Dasa, a beautiful 1 yr old Wolf Dog..
I was asked to come and see her as she has been a little reactive to her neighbours. She wants to play with them but won’t let the neighbour touch her and has been barking.
Normally it is clear what the issue is but you should never generalise.
After asking some questions and discovering the neighbour has health issue, Dasa has been sensing and reacting the health issue.
We don’t give our furry friends enough credit in what they feel and what they can detect.
My dog detected cancer in me and thankfully I got checked out and dodged a bullet and 100% healthy today.
Try your best to understand your dog and pay attention to their behaviour. They maybe telling you something!

This is 7year old Flip and 1 year old Henry. They are both beautiful GSP’s and have some separation issues both from each other and their owners.
Training began today and both did really well.
Sometimes half the challenge is the owners but they love their dogs and want the best for them and all are learning new skills and building engagement which will strengthen their relationships.

UPDATE from last week for Milu.
1 session done and this beautiful scared reactive girl is now up for cuddles and not reacting to strangers or other dogs. We still have some self confidence exercises to work through and she will be relaxed and no longer scared.

This beautiful girl@is Milu. A Harrier Beagle cross. I was told she is very aggressive towards all@people and dogs and biting both.
After an assessment today it was obvious it is all fear based.
I look forward to sharing her development with you over the coming weeks and the first session next week.
Fear is easy to overcome if you know how.

This is Artemis. A beautiful Blood Hound who is a little excitable.
Sometimes a simple change such as using a slip leash can instantly change a pooches excitement level.
Artemis went from being nuts on a walk to near perfect from the first step out the door.
We still have some challenges ahead but she will be amazing.

I don’t normally work with puppies as they don’t have behavioural issues that have developed over time however, it’s not always about the dog, many times it’s about the owners.
Teaching owners how to develop their puppies into well behaved and social dogs from the beginning prevents bad behaviour from emerging.
Unfortunately most people don’t appropriately train their puppies and when issues arise many give up and there dogs are surrendered to shelters.
A dog is a huge responsibility and a puppy is even more so.
