💙 Max 💙

Max visited our emergency team after his mum noticed a swelling on his muzzle.

He was the bestest boy, sitting patiently and giving the vets his full attention while they performed his examination and discussed the next steps. 🐶💙

We're always here when something doesn't seem quite right with your pet. If you notice any sudden swelling, changes in behaviour, or other concerning signs, don't hesitate to seek veterinary advice.

✨ Meet Stella ✨

Stella’s family became concerned when she started retching and vomiting after chewing on a treat. After arriving at our hospital, x-rays revealed an abnormal area in her oesophagus.

Using an endoscope, our vets were able to safely examine Stella’s oesophagus and quickly discovered the cause — a treat lodged inside. Thankfully, the obstruction was successfully removed without the need for invasive surgery. 💙

Stella was an absolute superstar throughout her treatment, and we’re so happy she’s feeling much more comfortable again!

If your pet is retching, vomiting, drooling excessively, or having trouble swallowing, it’s important to seek veterinary attention promptly.

Arlo spent some time with our emergency team after he stopped eating and his owners became understandably concerned.

After lots of treatment, monitoring, and supportive care from our team, we were so happy to see him finally munching on a banana again 💙🐾

Seeing our patients start eating again is always one of the best signs they’re feeling brighter ✨

💕 Lucy 💕

The lovely Lucy didn’t quite make it out the door in time and unfortunately injured the tip of her tail after it became caught.

Our emergency team needed to remove the damaged end of her tail and repair the area so it could heal comfortably. Thankfully, Lucy was an absolute star patient throughout her stay 🌟🐾

We hope she’s back to happy tail wags again very soon 💙

Rivah had a little adventure of her own after managing to make an unexpected exit through a broken glass window. She was promptly brought in to see our emergency team.

After a careful check over at the clinic, it was clear she needed a quick surgery to repair the wound. Our team took great care of her, and thankfully Rivah was able to head home to her family later the same day.

Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery, sweet girl 💖

Treatment, Prevention & Myths

💙 Treatment saves lives — prevention makes a difference

If your cat has a urinary blockage, urgent treatment may include:
• Relieving the blockage (under sedation or anaesthesia)
• IV fluids to flush toxins
• Pain relief and anti-inflammatories
• Hospitalisation with a urinary catheter and monitoring

🌿 Prevention tips:
• Encourage water intake (fountains, wet food)
• Keep litter trays clean (1 per cat + 1 extra)
• Reduce stress (safe spaces, enrichment)
• Feed a balanced diet
• Regular vet check-ups

❌ Common myths:
• “I’ll wait and see” → ❌ Can be fatal quickly
• “It’s just a UTI” → ❌ Often not the case
• “Litter boxes don’t matter” → ❌ They reduce stress

❤️ A blocked cat is always an emergency.
Quick treatment = the best chance of recovery.

📞 If in doubt, call your vet immediately.
