PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s no secret that I’ve been gradually winding back over the past 12 months or so. During our extended winter break this year, it allowed me time to sit back and reflect on our dog grooming business and life in general. I have put my heart and soul into the business for the past 10 nearly 11 years, and whilst I still love and have a deep passion for grooming, I feel the time is right for Huggable Hounds Dog Grooming to call it a day, effective 19th November. I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my life ~ more travelling, spending quality time with my family and friends and of course Bozley, and doing those things that always seemed to be put on the back burner during my working years.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to our many, many clients over the years for allowing me the privilege of grooming your beautiful dogs. Your support and trust in us has always been very much appreciated. As all our clientele received notification prior to this announcement, I wish to sincerely thank those special clients who have expressed their gratitude and best wishes to us in response. It is so satisfying and rewarding to know that you so valued and appreciated us. To my many groomer colleagues whom I had the pleasure of meeting over the years, both in Tassie and on the mainland, some becoming good friends, thank you so much for your wonderful friendship, guidance and support.
What a wonderful journey it has been. I never once considered my work as a job as I was so blessed to be doing something I absolutely loved day in day out. I loved that every day was different, always a constant learning adventure with new challenges to face, some days tougher than others, none more so than when hearing of the loss of one of our much loved Huggable Hounds family. My only regret is that I didn’t embark on my dog grooming journey years earlier.
And lastly to my own boy Boz, who has been an integral part of the team from the outset. He, along with his three late Basset Hound siblings, were the meaning behind the Huggable Hounds name and the reason I always referred to the business as “our”. Boz played a significant part in the salon, not only in his self-appointed role of welcoming committee, albeit a little too exuberant at times!, but more importantly as my model for regular maintenance demonstrations and grooming videos and he was amazing in calming pups and senior dogs by just his presence. Thank you beautiful boy, I love you beyond words and you too deserve a well earned rest in your senior years.
HH we will miss you.
Once again, we thank you all.
Adieu, Meg (& Bozley). 💋 🐾
