😸 Meet Jasper, our very handsome… oops we mean beautiful patient!

Jasper came in today for a castration surgery, but during her pre-surgery check our vet nurse made a surprising discovery – Jasper is actually a girl! 🎀 With her adorable little moustache, we can see how the mix-up happened.

Instead of a castration, Jasper had a spey surgery and is now recovering well. 💕

Sometimes it can be tricky to tell if a cat is male or female, especially when they’re young — so Jasper isn’t the first kitty to surprise her family! 🐈‍⬛

🐶🐾 Last week, we had a very special visit from these adorable Golden Retriever puppies for their 2nd puppy vaccination! 💉✨️

Their gorgeous mum, Maple, also came along for her annual vaccination and health check – such a sweet family! 💛🐕

Nothing like wagging tails and puppy cuddles to brighten our day! 🥰🐾

🌙🐾 Luna’s TPLO Journey 🐾🌙

Beautiful Luna the husky has been through quite a journey with her knees. In 2023 she injured her right cruciate ligament and underwent TPLO surgery. She recovered wonderfully and was back to enjoying life — until early 2025, when she unfortunately injured her left cruciate.

Cruciate ligament injuries are one of the most common causes of hindlimb lameness in dogs, and it’s not unusual for dogs who injure one knee to later injure the other.

The TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) procedure helps to stabilise the knee, reduce pain, and get dogs back to enjoying a happy, active life. 💕🐕

On tuesday, she was back in for her 12-week post-surgery X-rays, and we’re so pleased to see how well she’s healing. 🙌✨

Thanks to her second TPLO surgery, Luna is now back to her favourite adventures — this time on two strong, stable knees. 🐺✨

🐰 Peter the Rabbit hopped in for his desexing!

This handsome boy handled his anaesthetic like a champ and is now back home, recovering comfortably with plenty of love (and a few well-deserved treats) from his family. 🥕☘️

Desexing isn’t just about preventing unwanted litters—it also helps reduce hormone-related behaviours and lowers the risk of certain health issues later in life.

At our clinic, we’re experienced in rabbit care, including:

✅ Dental checks and nail trims

🖤 Handsome Leo the Maine C**n visited us for his desexing surgery 🐈‍⬛

🐶🎉 Meet Moe – our brave 9-year-old patient who gave us quite the surprise last week!

Moe came in feeling very unwell, and after some tests and imaging, Dr Marcel and our nurses performed an exploratory laparotomy (abdominal surgery) to find out what was going on.

What did we discover? 🧸 A fluffy toy lodged in his intestines!

Luckily, surgery was a success, and Moe is now on the road to recovery with lots of cuddles and rest. 💙

A gentle reminder to keep an eye on your pets and their toys – even our senior fur friends can get into mischief!

Get well soon, Moe – you’re one tough pup! 🐾
