🐾💙 ADVENTURE TIME LITTER 💙🐾

These little sweethearts were surrendered to us by a good samaritan and have spent the past couple of weeks in foster getting ready to find their forever families 💞

Ten weeks old and small mixed breeds, these pups will be ready to go home this Saturday and could suit homes with young kids and doggy siblings they can learn from 🐶

Before applying, please remember puppies are a 12+ year commitment and they will need plenty of company, positive training and lots of love as they settle in and grow 🌱

If you are confident you are ready to welcome one of these bundles of joy into your life, enquire via the steps below:
1️⃣ Fill out the adoption questionnaire: https://www.dogshome.org.au/adoption-questionnaire/ and make sure to put “Adventure Time Litter" in the "Name of Dog Interested In" section.
2️⃣ Email [email protected] to make sure you don't miss out on these cuties! If you’ve applied previously, skip step one and go straight to the email.
Our puppy coordinator will then be in touch if your application is successful to arrange a meet and greet with you and the other members of your household 🏠

🩷🎂 Every dog deserves a birthday banner! 🎂🩷

This week we are checking in with Theia who was Tessa in our care, she was surrendered to our care as her previous family were moving, but she luckily found a wonderful forever home with Imogen and Jerry.

"We wanted to send you a little update because we recently celebrated Theia’s (Tessa) 5th birthday! 🥹🐾

We adopted Theia from you in November 2025, and we genuinely couldn’t be happier to have her in our lives. She is still the biggest goofball and has so much personality. At 40kg, she is also very hard to miss! She spends most of her days following us around, taking over the couch and making sure she gets plenty of attention. She is incredibly loved and very, very spoilt.

We thought you might like to see how she is doing and know that she is having the best life. We are so grateful to everyone at the refuge who looked after her before she found her way to us."

Nothing warms our hearts more than hearing how loved DRH doggies are!! Thanks so much to Theia's family for providing her with such a beautiful, loving life!

👋 Hi everyone I'm Otto!

I'm a happy, affectionate eight-year-old Pinscher with plenty of zest for life. Curious by nature, I love being part of whatever is going on and will happily join in with everyday family activities!

Up until now, I've spent my entire life with the same family, I may need a little time to settle into my new home and adjust to a different routine. Everyone say's I'm incredibly friendly and forms strong bonds with people, affection and very easy to handle.

I'm a very unlucky-lucky boy, when I arrived at the Refuge that clinic team found two masses attached to my spleen, I am happy to say the surgery went well and I am fully recovered and ready to find my forever home!

🐶💙🐾 Our top tips to help your new rescue dog settle in! 🐾💙🐶

Taking home your new best friend is such an exciting time, we fall in love by the time we leave the Refuge gates but our furry friends need a little longer to feel safe and secure. They've been through many changes, some multiple homes, surgeries, time in pounds, the Refuge, sometimes relocating from regional places and meeting so many new people!

😴 Let them sleep! Majority of our dogs have spent weeks or even months in a kennel environment. They need deep, restorative sleep.

🏡 Don't head out too soon. The dog parks, cafes, the beach can all wait until your dog is feeling safer in your care. Stick to play time and mental enrichment at home or walks in quiet areas.

⚽ Begin a basic daily routine, the more predictable you and the environment are the more comfortable your dog will be.

🥱 Stay boring, act like everything is normal, nothing exciting or crazy is happening, lots of yawning, and relaxing at home. Your dog will pick up on your energy!

This sweet boy is Banjo 💙🥺

We'd really love for him to get out of the kennels and into a loving home, you can see by his sad eyes he needs some TLC. Banjo is a 2 year medium sized mixed breed who found himself homeless at Geraldton pound recently.

Once he feels safe with you, he loves to climb into your lap for all the cuddles and affection. Banjo can make doggie pals with gentle polite friends but he needs a little patience while he is getting used to meeting nice dogs 🐶

We have no doubt that with plenty of love, yummy treats and play, this little guy is going to flourish into an amazing pooch! He just needs to find his person 💙

🧡🤍Gorgeous Guinea🤍🧡

We think whoever adopts Guinea should change her name to Guinea Pig! 🐽

This beautiful 1 year old staffy was surrendered to our care as she was a bit too energetic for her elderly owners. They also reported that she was sleeping outside at night which we think is just so sad, especially for a breed that loves being with people so much 😢

So now we're looking for a new home for Guinea where she will be showered in love and can sleep cuddled up nice and warm inside every night 🥰 Guinea has energy to burn so a family with older kids or teenagers who can spend lots of time playing with her would be ideal. This happy, friendly girl could even live with a doggy brother! 🐶🐾

Oh Monkey 💔💔💔 Her worried little face breaks our hearts 😣

At 10 months old, Monkey should be her most playful, silly self, making new friends, being a cheeky, fun puppy! Instead she arrived to our care incredibly fearful, shut down and struggling to feel truly safe.

We are searching for a specific home for this girly, a single person or a quiet couple with another calm and appropriate dog to lead her by example. Monkey spent 2 weeks in foster, where her foster carer saw glimmers of hope but she has a journey ahead of her to become a happy, trusting, confident girl.

This darling deserves owners who will show her that it is a beautiful world out there, at her own pace and understand she needs loads of patience, love and compassion.
