How can we help prevent dental disease?

🦷 Water additives – oxyfresh
These are chemical properties to aid in reduction of plaque formation

🦷 Seaweed supplement– i.e simply seaweed, plaque off.
It contains a particular seaweed, that aids in reducing buildup of plaque on teeth to improve bad breath & prevent dental disease

🦷 Dental food – i.e Hills T/d, Royal Canin dental.
Relies on the physical action of dogs & cats teeth to push through the kibble to clean them rather than normal diets where the kibble breaks without the tooth needing to pe*****te it. However, this food won’t work if you pet swallows them whole.

How does your cat show it loves you? It is not uncommon to question if your cat loves you or if they just see you as a source of food, I know we do.

Did you know that when your cat rubs it head on you, they are rubbing their scent on you and claiming you as their own.

Other examples of your cat showing affection are your cat sitting on you or close to you, holding eye contact, purring and the one we all dread - bringing gifts such as dead mice...

How can we help prevent dental disease?

Raw meaty bones
🦷 It can be effective and a form of enrichment but be aware of the risks.
🦷 May risk fracturing teeth (exposes sensitive tooth tissue that causes pain, infection & dental disease), can cause gastrointestinal obstructions (avoid small bones).
🦷 Remember to avoid cooked bones as these splinter. Risk not only gastrointestinal obstructions but can perforate the bowels, leading to sepsis.
