There’s no sweeter way for a dog to show their love than with a heartfelt poem, right? This Shih Tzu is offering a "romantic" ode to their human, thanking them for the simple, yet essential, act of picking up after them.

As pet owners, we do a lot for our dogs, from feeding them to keeping them safe. But it’s moments like these, when they offer love in their own special way, that truly remind us of the bond we share. They may not always express it in words, but they always show appreciation in their own unique way.

So, here's to the endless love we share with our pups—and yes, we’ll keep picking up after them! 🐶💖

Meet Hattie ♥️

Hattie is one of a large group of small toy poodle mixes recently rescued from a breeding facility.

She spent her life housed with other dogs in muddy floor enclosures, with little to no exposure to the wider world or normal home life. No warm couch, no family routine, no understanding yet of what it means to simply feel safe.

At the shelter, Hattie has been one of the timid souls — quiet, shut down and unsure. But even through that, there have been little glimmers. A tiny tail wag. A soft moment of curiosity. A gentle acceptance of handling. Those small moments tell us there is a little dog in there, waiting for the chance to feel safe enough to begin.

We’re very pleased to say that Hattie has now been placed with a foster carer, where she will be given the time, space and patience she needs to slowly come out of her shell and begin discovering the world at her own pace.

Hattie is around 3 years old, weighs 5kg, is desexed, and is tolerating daily eye medication for chronic dry eye.

Like many puppy farm dogs, her journey will be built on slow approaches, small wins and gentle, consent-based interactions. For now, what she needs most is calm, predictability and kindness.

These little dogs ask for very little in the beginning — safety, patience and the chance to learn that people can be gentle.

One day, those tiny tail wags will become a whole-body wag. One day, Hattie will understand that life can be soft, warm and hers.

Maltese Shih Tzu x Toy Poodle | Male | Turned 2 in January

This little guy is incredibly soft, ultra cuddly, and absolutely devoted to his people.
He will thrive in a calm home where someone is around most of the time.
He is toilet trained, and picked up other training very easily. He can sit, shake, come when called, he will lie down and go to this bed when we are eating dinner.

Remy gets along with cats, dogs and children. He can be scared easily by strangers/ strange dogs approaching.

Remy can become anxious if left alone for longer than 3–4 hours and may stress toilet in those situations. He also isn’t a fan of long car trips and can become vocal and unsettled while travelling.

Because of this, he would suit:
A home where someone is home most of the time
A calm, patient environment
A person willing to give gentle guidance and consistency to help him gradually build confidence being alone for short periods

Foster-to-adopt preferred to ensure the right long-term match.

Remy is desexed, chipped, vaccinated and all preventatives up to date.
Adoption fee is TBA.
