Our line-up this morning.
I swear farming is just having a goal and constantly tweaking the system to find what works best whilst dealing with toddlers (aka any animal) who are just trying to figure out how to get the snacks 😂

This is my current setup for the days I milk and bottle kids.... until it changes again.

All of the mums the tie-up now and honestly I wish I thought of this sooner. They can be a short leash (theyre about 50-ish cm long), a handle -with both ends clipped to the collar or the tie-up as pictured. They cant bully one another, steal next doors food or barge there way to the feed bucket. I probably wont leave them on when they go back out in the paddock full time but for now its working really nicely 👌

This morning was a big job of milking mummas and bottle training half of the kids. All but one single boy took to the bottle without real complaint 👌 tomorrow will be more of the same.

Im looking forward to (hopefully) seeing really solid temperaments earlier on from all of these kids- but still kids being goats the Does being mothers.

Is it worth all the effort? I think it will be once i find my rythm.
1-5 kids is pretty easy to bottle, 19 is alot more 😂

Its definatley a big job for one person but im committed to the method ive chosen to try this year. 🐐

Its been way too long between updates and about time you see some cuteness.

Kidding started on Monday this week and finished yesterday 🙌🙌 with 20 kids safely on the ground in 6 days we are stoked!
I had big plans this year to A.I a bunch of different genetics, but with the bushfires in January and all the girls cycling I decided we would save those plans for next year when its a bit calmer (hopefully 🤞)
