YARRA JUNCTION’s TURN!
If you missed your chance for a FREE ear consult don’t worry! This week, Monday to Thursday the same amazing offer is available at our Yarra Junction practice.
🐶🐱 FREE EAR CHECKS! 👂 🐶 🐱
This week only we are offering FREE ear consults in light of our new upgrade to our in-house lab! This machine will help us diagnose the cause of an ear infection and guide us in the right direction in terms of treatment!
❗️Please note- this is only at our Yarra Junction and only until Thursday 7th of August.
Ear infections are a common issue we see in both dogs and cats. They can be painful and uncomfortable, but with the right care, they’re treatable.
👂 What to look out for:
If your pet has an ear infection, you might notice:
• Head shaking or tilting
• Scratching at the ears
• Redness or swelling
• A bad smell from the ears
• Discharge (brown, yellow or black)
• Sensitivity when you touch their ears)
🩺 How we diagnose it:
At your pet’s check-up, we’ll:
• Look inside the ear with a special light (otoscope)
• Take a sample of the ear wax or discharge and let our cool new machine look at it!
• In some cases, we may recommend further tests if the infection keeps coming back
💡 Why it happens:
Ear infections can be caused by allergies, bacteria, yeast, ear mites, or even moisture (especially in floppy-eared dogs!). Some breeds are more prone than others.
✅ The good news?
With early treatment, most pets recover well! The key is getting the right diagnosis and using the right treatment — usually ear drops, sometimes tablets, and a good clean.
If you think your dog or cat might have an ear infection, give us a call and this week your consult is free!
*Any further testing and treatment not included 🐾
