I always enjoy coaching at Ballarat and today was no exception.

Beautiful grounds, perfect weather, helpful groundspeople/parents and riders that always put their best hoof forward.

Well done to all horses and riders who achieved so much in such a short timeframe.

I'm sure Mounted Archery has made a big impact today while riders gained new skills, new confidence and utilised existing abilities.
A discipline suitable for all ages.

Halo is back in work. 🐎

Such a stunning big mare. Inside and Out.

Halo is back in work and it's great to be riding her again.
She'll take a while to regain her fitness after almost 2 years off from riding, competition, lessons and having a beautiful foal.

Obstacle/Desensitising Clinic
Sunday 8th November
9 am to 11 am

The ever popular obstacle and desensitising clinic is back.
Suitable for all ages, abilities and experience levels. In hand or ridden. Yearlings to Seniors.

$80 per horse/ rider ( handler) combo, instructored 2 hours, group of 4 to 6 participants.

This is a great clinic to prepare you and your horse for all things obstacle. Including the new upcoming clinics at Senjhoo Park. Follow the page for details when posted.

Chevy is back in work.
He loved his winter off just a little too much for his waistline.
Now to try to get him fit again ready for lessons and other adventures together.

Always a challenge for a Gypsy Cob ❤️🐎

Being so wide is difficult with my knee as my lower leg doesn't make contact with him at present.
Lucky he's voice trained too 🤣

Special thanks to April for helping me on the ground and bathing him. ( First rider other than me for her efforts)

I look forward to offering lessons with Chevy again soon.

School pony Willow is back in work, preparing for a return to lessons.
Shes had a shampoo and tail treatment, ( many thanks to April for her help,)
a saddle fit, her gear cleaned and oiled and plenty of massage's.

I'm grateful my school horses have beautiful natures and are very forgiving of their rider as my riding is about as good as my walk 🤣
Not balanced, not correct and definitely needs work. ( Throw in a kneeful of pain too)

I'm keeping up with physio at the hospital, but the riding should help rebuild my strength and control of my leg.

I look forward to contacting those who have lessons in credit soon. 🐎

Injury update.

Unfortunately my recovery has not gone as planned.

The plate and 7 screws have assisted my lower femur to heal well and I can weight bear on my leg.
Sadly, I cannot bend my knee any more than 50 degrees which means I cannot walk without lifting my hip every step to compensate.

Also means no riding as a cannot make even a 'dressage leg' position. 😔
Yes, I'm going insane not riding!

I'm booked for a second surgery in 2 weeks.
With a plan to remove scar tissue, remove another bone chip and manipulate the joint under anaesthetic.

Hopefully this will give me some sort of normall movement and a return to riding within 6 weeks.

While some services are continuing, I'm deeply sorry to those who are missing out.
My aim is to have my lesson horses in work asap.

Biggest Thankyou to Shawn for keeping my high horse standards up to scratch and continuing. ❤️

Such a shame to see the arena not being used
while I'm out of action so thought I'd offer a little
open hire.

$40 per horse/rider combo, 2 hours onsite.

Happy to sit and watch if you need some
security.

Poles included. No lunging.
Obstacles and jump sand not included.
Waiver and medical to sign on arrival if your not a
current client.

Bookings essential.

Unfortunately I'm out of action for a bit after being kicked by a horse.

7 screws, a plate and 2 unsecured pieces in my femur gives me 6 weeks non weight bearing, then rehab.

Thankyou to those that have reached out privately to offer assistance and visits to keep me sane ☺️

Byo horse lessons at home will be running again soon ( yes, I'll be on crutches for a while but life goes on.) Pm to book.

Bookings in clubs have been cancelled or will be contacted in the coming days to discuss. 😔
Being my right leg, I'm unable to drive at present.

Horses on my training list, I'll be in touch.
Unfortunately, I may no longer offer this service.

Those with school horse bookings, I'll be in touch to discuss credits or refunds.
School horses will take a break and enjoy some time off.
Returning as soon as I'm capable to begin their fitness work and my first rides back in the saddle.
Hoping this is 12 weeks post surgery ( 31.5.26 )

Biggest Thankyou to my husband, Shawn.
For keeping the farm running, my clients and my own horses well maintained, fed and cared for. Not to mention looking after me and the kids while working full time himself. ❤️
