🐄🐕 WELCOME TO THE TEAM, DR DAN! 🐕🐄
We’re thrilled to officially welcome our newest graduate veterinarian, Dr Dan Adamson, to the Scottsdale Veterinary Services team! 🎉
And what better way to start your veterinary career than with a couple of busy weekends on call!
Being a vet on call is one of the challenging — and rewarding — parts of mixed practice. You never know what is going to walk, trot, be carried or be delivered through the clinic door!
At Scottsdale Veterinary Services, we provide a 24/7 veterinary service, every day of the year, caring for both large and small animals and treating all emergencies as they arise.
Dan has certainly hit the ground running, with his first two weekends bringing calvings, uterine prolapse, a cow with uterine torsion requiring caesarean, a sick dog and a caesarean on a Golden Retriever.
In Dan’s words:
“My first weekend on call really lived up to my expectations. I had two calvings, a uterine prolapse as well as a dog that had stopped eating and a C-section on a Golden Retriever. I had an absolute blast and really happy I get these opportunities. I also can’t thank Colleen, Khyle and Kate enough for the support both over the phone and in person when I needed.”
We’re incredibly pleased to have Dan on board and it’s fantastic to see him embracing the variety, challenge and excitement of mixed-practice veterinary life. 🩺
Having experienced vets around to provide support, a second opinion or a helping hand during an emergency is such an important part of starting out — and we’re proud to provide that support to our graduates.
