Some more upgrades to this absolute monstrosity of a substrate bagging machine
Part of our substrate mix consists of loose lupin hulls (unpelletized) which are very dusty and messy. We've added a vacuum loader which sucks them straight out of the bulka bags and into the sealed hopper, and automatically refills when it gets low
This particular unit also has a compressed air pulse module. The vacuum filters get clogged very quickly when handling dusty materials, so after every 15 second run it shoots a pulse of compressed air through the filters to knock the dust out.
More upgrades to come: Got a screw auger on the way to test for loading pelletised sawdust into the other side of the hopper. Stay tuned 🤓
