We always seem to have so much going on at Green Thumb lately - itโ€™s such a fun adventure to be on! (Photo is of some filming happening this morning)

Our Farm School has just wrapped up a busy month of schools visiting the farm. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฅ•

And now, we are taking bookings for excursions and incursions for next term ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿฆ‹.

If you would like your childโ€™s school to participate please let your school know about the farm - they can book via our website or reach out to ask questions.

What an afternoon at the farm! ๐ŸŒฟ

Yesterday we hosted our Australian Native Foods Workshop and the energy was something special. Chef Chris Jordan, from Three Little Birds Events, walked participants through the medicinal and nutritional properties of native plants, cooked together, shared mocktails and teas, and brought the kind of knowledge and warmth you just can't get from an online search.

Every single feedback showed participants left very satisfied, and people are already planning to plant native herbs at home, brew teas from fresh lemon myrtle leaves, and swap western ingredients for native alternatives in their everyday cooking. That's the kind of shift we love to see.

We're absolutely thrilled to share that Green Thumb Farm has been awarded a Community Support Grant from City of Moreton Bay โ€” and we couldn't be more grateful. ๐Ÿ’š

This wonderful support will fund two things that make a real difference to what we do every week:

๐Ÿ•๏ธ A new marquee for our education programs โ€” giving our students, families, and little ones a comfortable, sheltered space to learn, grow, and connect with nature.

๐ŸŒฟ Much-needed garden consumables to keep our farm thriving and productive for our community.
