Tomorrow will be an extra special market for us, as we will start operating our very own coffee caravan, leaning on local suppliers and organic ingredients wherever we can source them. ๐ŸŽ‰

It's also the first Saturday of the month, which means our Clothing & Book Swap is on! Bring clothes or books to swap, or if you don't have anything to bring, take home something you love with a small donation. ๐Ÿ“–

On the tables this week: fresh, chemicals-free veggies, fruits and herbs, farm-fresh eggs, seasonal seedlings, organic sourdough & treats from Leavain Organic Bakery. ๐ŸŒฑ

We've been nominated for the 2026 Queensland Landcare Awards! ๐ŸŒฑ

It means a lot to be recognised for the work happening on the farm every week, growing food, teaching kids and adults about growing food regeneratively, and building a space where the whole community can get their hands in the soil.

Nominations are being assessed over the next few weeks, and the awards ceremony is in October. Fingers crossed!

๐Ÿ™Œ We're at $3,380 raised toward building the Worm Project. Thank you to everyone who has given so far.

Every dollar brings us closer to a two-unit worm system that will turn local cafe waste into living soil instead of landfill methane, once it's built. We're aiming to have it up and running between February and April 2027, turning food scraps and coffee grounds into the soil that grows our Saturday market vegetables, instead of that waste sitting in landfill creating greenhouse gases.

One-time gifts are being matched dollar for dollar, up to $2,500, by the Johnson Ohana Foundation, while matched funds last. Help us bring more circularity to our community!

Green Thumb Farm is a registered DGR charity, so donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible. You can claim your gift as a deduction at tax time.

Big Saturday coming up! We're getting ready for market as always, and this week Samford Parklands Village Green officially opens right next door.

Grab your coffeeโ˜•๏ธ, seedlings ๐ŸŒฑand fresh produce ๐Ÿซœ at the markets from 8am, then stick around because Green Thumb Farm will be at the Parklands opening from 10amโ€“12pm with free garden activities for the kids , including make-your-own seed bombs and a microgreens station.
