We have had 2 puppy groups graduate recently. Congratulations to them and to their people for their commitment and time put in to training and setting their pups up for success. Minnie, Dougie, Winnie, Farrah, the triplets - Ryder, Charlie and Bronte - Maisie, Eden, Sadie and to Elf and puppy no name yet. Hip hip hooray 👏👏👏 our next group starts Tuesday 14 April.

Hip, hip hooray to our latest Puppy Schoolers Loki, Remy, Arthur and Monty. They made a great start on loose lead walking and recalls - added a few tricks to their
repertoire - and worked hard on their
focus skills. Our next Puppy School
Commences on 18 March and is suitable for puppies to start from 8 to 16 weeks.

Basic dog body language explained through a dogs emotions: engaged in their surroundings and will have a loose, waggy posture. The overall body posture will be soft and wiggly, and some of the dog’s movements might be over-exaggerated, especially during play.

🚨 PARVOVIRUS ALERT 🚨

We have unfortunately had a confirmed case of canine parvovirus. Parvovirus is a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening disease, particularly for puppies and unvaccinated dogs.

❗ Signs of parvovirus may include:
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Vomiting
• Severe diarrhoea (often bloody)
• Fever

🛡️ Prevention is key
Keeping your dog’s vaccinations up to date is the most effective way to protect them against parvovirus. Puppies must complete their full vaccination course, and adult dogs require regular boosters to maintain immunity.

🐾 What you can do now:
• Ensure your dog’s vaccinations are current
• Avoid taking unvaccinated dogs or puppies to public areas
• Contact your vet immediately if your dog shows any symptoms

For anyone looking to do Scent Work - this course is ideal!

Beginner's Scent Work course starting next week!

This course is for dogs/puppies who are new to Scent Work. You'll learn how to introduce your dog to odour and how to teach a strong indication.

Classes will be held in Hazelwood North from 6-8pm on Thursday evenings, see dates below.

Important things to note:
- Dogs must be able to rest in a car or crate when it is not their turn
