Kirkwood Produce has been servicing the Hunter Valley and surrounding areas since 1921. Kirkwoods was family owned and operated.

We supply everything from pet food, produce, fertilizer, animal health and saddlery supplies. Kirkwoods have two current locations at 4 Johnson Street Rutherford, and 1 John Street Singleton. Both stores are heavily involved with community support with our major beneficiary being the Childrens Cancer Institute of Australia.

I'm not sure when the last time was that we Kirkwood produce have ever been closed. I stopped to think - but all I could come up with is we survive only because of our customers, much the same as our ANZACS.

Never did they question or ask why, but only to do what's best, for they felt obliged too. Now so much coverage has been around our own BRS. I'm sure we all have an opinion. No one will ever know what it's like to experience adversity or adrenaline-fuelled anxiety & to be so far away from the person you love that could help you most.

War like life, is a minefield. It's how we navigate it that separates us from those that can or chose not to believe. They don't have the support and solving problems by yourself seems like the manly thing to do.

So to all our Diggers, Army & Navy personnel past and present we thank you.

Established in 1921, Kirkwood Produce have been in the midst of most of it. But no matter what we get thrown the Aussie human spirit is now & will never be a match for those that may try and defeat us.
Without fear you can't have courage, and for those that provide that blanket of security that we so unassuming rise from every morning or pull over our faces as the alarm comes to rest us we say thank you, for it is you
that every person or moment is judged on.

May war never ever take away the freedom that gives us the ability to smile.
