🐾 Meet Toby — Looking for His Forever Home 🐾

Sometimes, the animals who come through our doors have a way of finding a very special place in our hearts.

Meet Toby, a gorgeous approximately 1-year-old boy who came into our care as a stray after being found with a massive abscess behind his ear that had ruptured and required surgery.

The lovely lady who found him brought him to us with the intention that, once his treatment was complete, Toby would be returned to where he had been found and released back.

But then something happened…

We all fell in love with him.

While Toby was recovering with us, we discovered just how incredibly affectionate, gentle and loving he is. The thought of putting him back out on the streets, with no warm bed, no family and no one to call his own, simply didn’t feel right.

So, instead of saying goodbye to Toby, we decided we would try to find him the loving home he deserves.

The lovely lady who first brought him to us affectionately named him Toby, and we think the name suits him perfectly.

Toby is now looking for his forever family — someone who will give him a safe home, plenty of love and all the cuddles this beautiful boy has been waiting for.

He has been through enough on the streets. Now it’s time for Toby to know what it feels like to be loved, safe and truly home. We would k**e Toby to be a strictly indoor only cat

A disappointing week at Woodstock Animal Hospital 😔

July is National Desexing Month, and every year we proudly offer discounted desexing to help make this important procedure more affordable for our community.

Unfortunately, this week has been incredibly disappointing.

Every day we were fully booked for desexing surgeries, yet across the week we had 15 patients simply not turn up. On one day, despite being completely booked, only one pet actually arrived for surgery.

This isn’t just frustrating for our team—it means that many other cats missed out. We had to turn away several owners who genuinely wanted their pets desexed because we believed our surgery schedule was full.

As a small veterinary hospital, surgery time is carefully planned, with staff, equipment and resources allocated specifically for each patient. When appointments are missed without notice, that time cannot usually be filled at the last minute, and opportunities to help other animals are lost.

Because of the number of no-shows we’ve experienced, we have made the difficult decision to introduce a non-refundable $100 surgery booking deposit for all surgical procedures. The deposit will be deducted from your final account on the day of surgery.

We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. If you let us know in advance, we’ll always do our best to work with you. We simply ask for the courtesy of a phone call if you’re unable to attend.

Thank you to all of our wonderful clients who arrive on time, communicate with us, and value our team’s time. Your support allows us to continue providing affordable desexing and care to as many pets as possible. ❤️
