TEN QUICK QUESTIONS WITH LINDA PARELLI!

The third question I asked Linda was...

In regards to our horsemanship, what challenges/blocks do you see most consistently in people and what is needed to overcome them?

Linda answered...

Sometimes the horse doesn’t cooperate the way they had hoped ;). This is where knowing how to bring out the best in the horse is important. It takes something different from just good riding skills and techniques, or knowing the sport. You need to understand where horses are coming from and how to get them to want to collaborate.

So many horses are forced to some extent, and its usually the most talented ones that have the most trouble. Most riders and trainers don’t know how to deal with ‘behavioral’ issues. Knowing how to use behavioral psychology is a powerful key and it’s advantage been proven now for over 30 years in every discipline and endeavor with horses, from novice to Olympic level. And just ask the horses – they prefer it!

As a successful horse person yourself, what do you think are the consistent attributes that you have seen in horse people who have been successful in their horsemanship goals?

Linda answered...

I would say it’s that they have clear goals and they stay on track to achieve them.

TEN QUICK QUESTIONS WITH LINDA PARELLI!

I was lucky enough to get an interview with the lovely Linda Parelli...so excited! Then life got.in the way...as it does...but here it finally is..woohoo! Please follow the conversation and feel free to join in with your thoughts!

*My first question for Linda was ...

What was the inspiration behind Happy Horse Happy Life and what goals are you hoping to achieve with this program?

*Linda answered ...

Most horse-lovers that I talk to, no matter the discipline, want their horse to be happy. But nobody really knows what that means! Sure, they can be happy when you feed them and give them treats, or do what they want… but how do you get them to do what you want and be happy about that?

It takes a certain philosophy and psychology to train a horse that way and my HHHL program does what it says – it teaches you how to have a happy horse and also a happy life – with and apart from your horse. Why? Because you learn leadership skills, how to better connect and communicate, to set goals and make progress.

I know this isn’t for everyone, but it is for people who love horses and want them to be happy! My goal is to offer a program that makes it easy to know what to do (the curriculum) and get the motivation, tips and support that’s needed along the way via the membership and instructors.

I will attach a snapshot of how it all fits
