🐝 Looking for Land Support Around Ringwood & Nearby Areas 🐝

As many of you know, we’ve been growing our queen breeding and beekeeping work over the years. We’re currently looking for suitable land around Ringwood and nearby areas (within roughly 10km from the city/suburban area) to help host some of our managed beehives.

Ideally we are looking for:
🌿 Around 10 acres or more
🌿 Quiet land with low traffic/activity
🌿 Long-term supportive arrangement preferred

All hives are professionally managed and maintained by us.

If you or someone you know may have suitable land and would like to support local beekeeping and pollination, please feel free to message us privately 🐝🍯

Really appreciate all the support from everyone over the years ❤️

We recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by SBS Chinese about the changes happening in Australia’s beekeeping industry.

With varroa mites now part of the landscape, things have become a lot more hands-on and unpredictable for beekeepers like us. What used to rely heavily on natural cycles now requires constant monitoring and care.

For us, it’s not just about producing honey — it’s about protecting the bees, supporting pollination, and adapting to a changing environment.

We’re a local beekeeping family working closely with the community through our Honey Hut and queen breeding program. It’s been a challenging season, but also a meaningful one.

Grateful to share a small part of our journey.

🐝 What have we been up to lately?
We’ve been quite busy preparing our bees for winter. As the weather gets colder, this becomes a really important time for hive management — what we do now can make a big difference to how well the bees get through the season.
At the same time, we’ve also been carrying out Varroa mite checks and treatments. This pest is currently one of the biggest challenges for beekeepers, and if it’s not managed properly, it can weaken or even collapse a hive quite quickly.
For those who keep bees, this is a crucial time to stay on top of hive health — regular checks and early action really matter.
And for those who don’t keep bees, these little workers play a much bigger role than most people realise. From honey to pollination, they are an essential part of our food system and environment.
We’ll continue sharing what we’re seeing and learning on the ground, and hopefully help more people understand the world of bees 🐝

🐝 Happy Easter 🐣🍯
We’re open all Easter weekend 💛
It’s been a tough season for many, and for us too.
Between varroa and rising costs, it hasn’t been easy.
But just like our bees,
we keep moving forward — doing what we can, day by day.
Really grateful for all your support along the way 🐝
Wishing everyone a simple, warm Easter with your loved ones 🐣💛

We are very honoured to be featured in this story by The Eastern Melburnian.

Thank you to Matthew for visiting us and sharing our beekeeping journey and our work breeding queen bees.

Bees play such an important role in our food system and we are grateful to be part of this industry 🐝🍯

The Eastern Melburnian

With hives hosting anywhere between 20,000 and 80,000 worker bees, raising the right queen for the job is essential.

It was a pleasure to welcome our local councillor Claire Rex to visit our honey hut this week.
We had a thoughtful discussion around urban pollination, biodiversity corridors and responsible hive management in growing communities.
As queen breeders and managed hive operators, we believe planting strategies and biosecurity awareness must work hand in hand to build resilient urban ecosystems.
Always grateful to be part of a community that cares about biodiversity 🐝
What pollinator-friendly plants do you have growing in your garden?🌻☘️🏵🐝
