Gorgeous Kyra after her session today. Kyra is a senior German shepherd and also has some older dog issues. I see kyra once a month to keep her feeling comfortable and happy.

I got to see these cute kids today. I don't treat many cats as they generally tell you to bu**er off. Owly is quite a good girl and is quite happy for me to treat her. She is a bit special.
The doggies here are, Torro he is the big boy pictured upside down with ants in his pants to start with, then by the end of his session much more relaxed and sleepy. Then we have his lovely older sister Squiggle who has some issues as she is getting older. Here she is having a post treatment snooze.

I was at the Healthy pets vet clinic today and saw this adorable boy "Buddy". "Buddy" had hip surgery 5 weeks ago now, on his left hind leg and has come in to see me for some physio work /rehab. He has not been using his leg very well and now we are working on getting his body to realise his left leg is there and it works. His right hind leg stands in the middle of his body to balance himself.
When buddy came in he was quite stressed and worried about me touching him. By the time he left ,he was much happier, taking treats from me and starting to place his foot on the ground. The blue tape you see on his legs is to assist in proprioception, so getting his brain to start to be aware of his feet. I will see him again weekly for a few weeks to get him started and then it will taper off a bit as he progresses.

I had to post this photo of the lovely "Diesel". Thabk you Melissa for having me come and see him. This lovely man is 17 years old! He is doing amazing. Diesel really enjoyed his session and followed up by a big sleep. The treatments help keep this lovely boy feeling and moving as good as he can. I see a lot of older dogs, generally every 4 to 6 weeks to help them feel and move better.

A very grown up looking Mochi!
Mochi is steadily making improvements and healing from her hip and knee injury. Her owners have been doing daily excercises to assist in mochi having the best function for her adult body.
It's important that we aid the rest of her body that compensates for the weaker part. For a young pup , she is such a good girl for her sessions.

Last week we lost our old boy Shadow.
Shadow amazingly, made it to 14 years old, which is pretty unheard of in the land of German shepherds. He was a beautiful boy in every sense and we will miss him greatly.
Thank you to traveling vet , Michelle Williams from vet angels who came out to lay him to rest. Also big thanks to "More than a mate" cremation service for doing the cremation and returning him to us in a beautiful urn.
We had to make the decision as he had become very weak in his back legs and toileting was getting harder for him. It's always so hard to make that call , but we did not want his last time on earth to be uncomfortable and it's about quality of life. More often than not our pets need us to make that decision for them and it's tough to know when is it time. If you ever are unsure, ask your vet to give you some guidance to help you make the call.

Today I got to see the lovely "Beau" he is so photogenic! Thank you to his owner kayla for sending me the photo.
Beau was showing some lameness in his front leg recently. We worked on releasing his neck and shoulder today to help him feel more comfortable. Thanks for having him see me Kayla.
