MonElite Dobermanns Good looking, smart, loyal family pets and show/obedience dogs. It all started when I was a child and my uncle had wire haired fox terriers that he was showing.

I was in love with his dogs and shows, but my parents deny me of a pet. When asked as a child, if I want a brother or a sister I would answer that I want a dog. Never got one, all up waited 30 years to buy one. And it was Rex. The best dog that ever walked on earth and I had a privilege to walk 10+ years with him. Rex was officially known as Grand Champion Alldobe Strike It Lucky ET. He won endles

s show titles, Best in Show Specialty and All Breeds, Royal Easter Show Best of Breed, and he was a National winner in 2003. When younger he was naughty on occasion but later in life couldn't put a foot wrong. He lives by his progeny all around Australia and beyond. I learned about shows, obedience, contracts, breeding. Good, bad and the ugly. And came to my own conclusion as what to do, and what and how to breed, what to look for in dogs and what to look for in puppy buyers.

Many people asked me if I’m going to retire Envy, now that she has „all the titles”. Some not only ask, but tell me she should be retired, doing nothing, because she is well over 9 and a senior.

Congratulations Sonya on this amazing achievement.
I said some time ago - wouldn’t it be great if we both got it together, and we pretty much did.

In addition Bliss got her first Ultimate pass, 4 more and she will be a champion too.

Envy - First dobermann to become a Scent Work Champion in Australia.
Today Envy has gained the last pass for the Ultimate title, and became a Scent Work Champion. Therefore she is now a Dual Champion (SW) MonElite Envy RN SWM SWC SWI SWV SWX BH FH-V ROM

It took us 2.5 years, 49 passes and many non qualifying runs to get to this.

I’m over the moon with this achievement, all I wanted was Scent Work Advanced title!
She loves searching, she loves the game and has a natural talent for this sport.
Thank you everyone that coached, trained, assisted, encouraged and cheered us on.

Some working and observing spots have opened up at The Dobermann Club of NSW Peter Betchley Scent Work workshops.

Trainer/Presenter – Peter Betchley (USA)

The Dobermann Club of NSW is honoured and proud to be the first club to appoint an international judge for one of our trials, and excited to offer learning experience at one of the workshops.

Peters Betchley (USA) Bio:
Peter has had a history with Dobermanns in England where he showed, trained and judged dobermanns in the 1970’s. He then moved to the US where he trained Dobermanns and GSDs in Schutzhund and IPO. He has achieved Sch3, IPO3 and FH tracking titles with his dogs.
Peter has been Police K9 handler for over 10 years tracking narcotics.
Peter currently teaches obedience and Good Canine Citizen classes, does temperament testing and shows English Springer Spaniels.
He is licensed to judge all levels of scent work in US and has judged many trials at National Breed levels including Dobermann Pinscher Club of America Nationals 2025.
