To my beautiful & loyal customers,

I write this with understandable anxiety and uncertainty, unfortunately my landlord has decided not to renew my rental lease.

This means I will cease trading mid June, my hope is to find another rental on the peninsula (with a landlord who will approve the salon trading on the property).

Sadly, the state of the rental market is not allowing me to be confident in deciding on a reopen date.

I will do my absolute best to get everyone’s pups in for one last groom over the next 4 weeks.

Please have some patience, as most of you know I have a toddler and am pregnant, that’s not the best combination for efficiency 🫠

I really hope that I have good news and a strong business plan in place by Christmas, but right now my focus is securing a roof over our heads.

I will also be offering grooming services in exchange for the following services-
-carpet cleaning
-pest control
-rubbish removal
-gardening/yard maintenance
-furniture transport
-if you have another trade/service to offer in exchange for dog grooming, please DM me

How long does a full groom take?

Well, let’s break it down-

As an example, you have a small dog (10kg and under) your appointment is 9am.

9am- drop off, your dog will be given 5-10 minutes to familiarise themselves with my salon space, p*e, get out any wiggles

Your pup is put into the bath; rinsed, double shampooed, conditioned, ears cleaned, eye gunk removed , rinsed and towel dried- this takes 15-20 minutes

Now drying is completely dependent on your dog’s coat type/length/ability to tolerate high velocity drying. To be fully dried, it can take anywhere from 15-45 minutes. During drying, your dogs is brushed thoroughly, if fur is matted or knotted… brushing can add an extra 5-15 minutes.

Pup is given a break to p*e/play/rest, again 5-10 minutes depending on the dog’s mood

Nails are trimmed, sanitary areas are shaved, whole body clipped, face/tail/legs scissor styled and blended. Personally this takes me 30-50 minutes.

With all of that taken into consideration, please expect your dog’s groom to take 1.5-3 hours .
I will send you a message when your dog is 30-40 minutes away from being completed and ready for pick up.

I will be having a few weeks off at the start of May

My little apprentice is turning the big 3 🥹🥳🎂
