Maze and Chino striking some poses today

Little bit of a tense week, but we've past it now without any problems, everyone is fine and okay.
In a 3 hour time window at the start of the week, I bathed/handled Chino and Lily and they were fine, No ticks on them. I let them run around their yard to dry off, and went to the vet for vaccinations.

Chino was pulled out 1st, the vet did her thing, checked him all over, gave him his shot, did his paperwork then handed him to me to swap with Lily. As she handed him to me, I felt a lump on his neck and questioned the vet. Turned out he had a paralysis tick on him, and everyone turned to panic mode.
I can't rule out a possum dropping 1 in my yard, as much as I can't rule out he picked it up at the vet. All I know is, he's been monitored well over the 72 hour window now, and it would seem he did not receive any of its toxins, suffered no side effects and is 100% still himself.

This is the 1st tick I've ever had in my lifetime, and I'm on my 9th dog now being Chino.

So all good news, but a reminder of why it's important to constantly check over the dogs after walks etc, but also get them used to their paws, mouths, legs, ears etc being touched, checked and handled for any upcoming vet checks, nail trims, ear drops etc as they get older.

Maze's beautiful boy Theo with his little sister Ivy.
"Natedogz Wild Fire"
Theo is available for stud to approved bi***es.
Located North Brisbane, DogsQLD registered.

Theo is an excellent representation of the male stafford, he's very fit and functional with a beautiful structure and temperament.

I don't own him, but I am happy to facilitate and when possible, make myself available during any matings

That's about all you can do, you can't stop a puppy being curious. Training only works in the moment. Start using them commands. "No" "Drop" hopefully they at least start to catch on, and think "I'm not ment to have this"
