Gumnut Valley Alpacas is proud to announce our school holiday program designed for primary school children in year 4, 5 & 6.

Monday 14 April the first ‘Farmers for a day’ will arrive at 8.30am and learn about our alpacas, goats, donkeys and chickens.

After orientation they will assist with some daily chores such as raking hay, cleaning coops and making grain mixes as well as feeding all the animals, walk alpacas, play with the goats, grooming the donkeys and handle chicks

Morning tea is provided and kids are to BYO lunch. The program concludes at 1pm. The costs are $110 for the session and we have a ratio of 1 trainer per 2 children. We have just eight vacancies to ensure the wellbeing of our animals as well as making it a wonderful experience for the kids.

Hi everyone

I just wanted to let you all know the importance of having a collar with contact details on.

Today, one of our dogs escaped and made it about 2km down the road before being found by a lady. Because our dog had a collar with an ID tag and phone number on, she was able to immediately call my husband and let him know where we could find her.

Please don’t just rely on microchips, or social media. The easiest, quickest way to be reunited with your dog is an ID tag.
