Steve and crew were at the grounds today having a working bee ready for Saturday and the grounds and the parking paddock are in great condition and looking good.

Disabled parking is near the gate from the paddock to the show grounds and marked. There is limited disabled parking so first come first served.

Have good day showing on Saturday.

UPDATE ON PARKING

Parking will be in the usual place for the ag show - there will be Disabled Parking - Steve Eastley advises;

Normally just inside the gate in the paddock. I'll mark them out on Thursday.

There will not be any gate passes issued - You will be checked in at the gate between the parking area and the grounds.

Just heard from Huon Council there will be no authorisation for camping at Ranelagh Showgrounds. Please abide by the ruling from the Council.

The AGM for the Huon and Channel Club will be held at Alison Smith 52 Rialannah Road Mount Nelson on Thursday 3/2/22 at 7pm. Membership is now due and new members are most welcome.

By now you will have heard that the Huon Show 2021 has been cancelled.

It has always been the intention of HCKC committee to run an event should this happen.

Watch this space and we will advise as soon as we have finalised the details of what event will be on offer subject to Covid 19 restrictions.

Our Story

We are a small incorporated association that conducts four All Breed Championship Dog Shows in Southern Tasmania. Our club has operated for over thirty years, thanks to the hard working committee that established us all those years ago.

Our current committee may be small but we are all friends and hardworking people that run these shows as volunteers. We are ably supported by the Tasmanian Canine Association Inc. and all those that show pure breed registered dogs in Tasmania. We are always grateful to those that enter our shows and who are prepared to travel down to the beautiful Huon Valley to come and participate.

We encourage all dog lovers to come along and see the many breeds that come and participate in our shows. We are always happy to chat about the many benefits and joys there are to owning registered pure breed dogs.
